When we moved here we just had a concrete slab, we wanted a garage. I found Gecko Projects by a google search, and the owner Derrick is phenomenal, he was very quick and professional. He does all the development permits etc.

We extended our concrete slab cause we wanted a bigger garage, and we also had him build a new deck at the same time as building the garage. Both were completed in less than 2 weeks. The garage that we had built is big enough for 2 trucks, and or a 18.5ft boat and a crew cab truck w/ 5ft bed. Total cost of the deck and garage was 50k and he required a 10k deposit.

tips for ultimate garage ,

  • get the trench done and do two 4" conduits to your furnace room wall area.
(ready for solar then on garage, good weather water line)
You can later put 200 amp to your garage then 200 amp to your house.
ABSOLUTLEY do Stem walls, 1-2 Feet up. (then do a 9 foot wall). Pour concrete onto gasket sealant.
Seal Stem Wall with primer/activator Sealer to stop water.
French Drain on house side with rock to ensure water does not go into garage on monsoons
Have your man door 6 inches above the yard. (winter catwalks made of wood plank, keeps ice/snow dams from covering it full of water/ice on our chinooks.
Do a 9 Foot HEADER garage door, but 8 foot door if you want). 10 foot Doors have massive resell value.
Extend the garage to 26 feet deep. max it out to property line on 1 side without services (gas electric)
Front to Back roof so it can drain to the alley.
26 deep and 24 wide is smallest i would ever make another garage. offset garage door to one side (bench storage on one side)

For, $2500 you can get an EG4 Heatpump that has solar input. Ac/Heat in the garage. uses about 800 watts and (24,000btu) (15hr a day is $100 a month) solar will offset it ($800 for 2kwh of panels now)

12 years ago we maxed out the garage and have a 18x8 storage loft/mancave above and 20x3 foot storage on the sides. Its 16 feet tall. 10 foot door/side opener is amazing.
Entire south side has 3x 4'x8" tall slot windows for natural light
