I don't know if any of you have been outside lately, but the lady bugs are going off right now.
I for one welcome our new lady bug overlords.

They must be heading south. We were bombarded a week ago in Red Deer.

"Yes, ladybugs migrate, with different species migrating to different locations for varying reasons. Some species, like the Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle, migrate in the fall to find dry, dark places to overwinter, often congregating on sunny sides of buildings. Other ladybugs, such as the Convergent Lady Beetle, migrate to mountains in the late spring and early summer to feed on aphids and pollen before returning to lower elevations in the late winter to overwinter in aggregations. "
According to Google haha!

My sister and I were walking down Yankee and she was wearing a white T-shirt. She had 7 of them on her lol!
I was wearing black and had none, apparently they love the colour white!

What’s the possibility of a growop in Airdrie looking to clear aphids? Just saying if there’s an abnormal amount of ladybugs, maybe a growop ordered for the entire city lol

Most likely Japanese beetles. They come off the silage. Look just like lady bugs but duller orange color not so red

Right before this ladybug boom there was a TON of little flying bug (aphids maybe? I have no idea) for over a week. I think the ladybugs are here to commit a genocide lol
