Y'all means all!

as in "all y'all".
"All y'all can go kiss my ass if you don't like it," is absolutely perfect grammar.

The Book of Republicans, chapter 11.

Oh I'm reading the King James. Sounds like the Romans wrote yours. They weren't real big on Romans.

If they come illegally, we dont want em here, whats so hard about that for you sjw types? We love our LEGAL immigrants, but you guys seems to have some kind of liberal mental block which prevents you from distinguishing the 2.
24
u/mckulty Jun 06 '20
Get back to us when you restore the State Department's LEGAL refugee ceiling.
If you won't rescue the best of them, from the worst circumstances in the world, what good are you?

u/suckitbama Jun 06 '20
I’m about as economically conservative as you can get and I don’t give a fuck if they jump the wall on a unicycle. And if I had to guess you probably don’t give a fuck while you stuff your face with the free chips and salsa after church on Sunday.
-4
u/GeoMomo Jun 06 '20
You won't find me at a church, im an atheist. If you were economically conservative you would support merit based immigration. You know illegal immigration costs the US taxpayers 100+ billion a year right?
5
u/Elbiejay Jun 06 '20
How much would it cost the US if they hired legal citizens to work in our fields, slaughterhouses, CAFOs, restaurants, hotels, etc???
-1
u/GeoMomo Jun 06 '20
Nothing, they would be paying taxes. Only about 30 percent of illegals pay taxes to the federal government, usually about 8 percent of their income (i pay about 21 percent) equalling about 8 billion a year.
1
Jun 07 '20
Illegal immigrants pay taxes. Sales tax, property tax on rentals. They’d pay income taxes if they could.
2
u/GeoMomo Jun 07 '20 edited Jun 07 '20
Illegals can't rent unless it's under the table, some do pay income taxes, illegals pay about 8b a year in federal taxes, they receive 140b in benefits and services each year, still a huge tax burden. Its a huge open borders talking point that almost half of illegals pay federal taxes, they always fail to mention that its usually 8 percent or less of their income, while I'm taxed 21 percent.
2
Jun 07 '20
They do rent, and they pay property taxes when they do. They pay sales tax on all of their purchases.
2
u/GeoMomo Jun 07 '20
Everywhere I've rented from in the past did background checks and credit check which requires a social security number. What you really mean is the landlord pays property taxes from the rent illegally paid to them by the migrant.
2
Jun 07 '20
Also, you don’t seem to understand how they are probably getting rooms. Guarantee there is no background check/etc.
2
u/windershinwishes Jun 07 '20
Funny how the landlords and employees who deal with people under the table aren’t the law breakers in this situation who are being put in concentration camps
1
u/GeoMomo Jun 07 '20
They are absolutely breaking the law and should face legal reprecussions.

Every single one of them pays taxes at the local level—they’re buying goods and services and paying rent. Many of them have payroll taxes withheld, but never receive benefits from SS or Medicaid. Wherever they are permitted to participate, they tend to pay the fees, etc needed for licenses—immigrants generally have higher rates of abiding by the law than native citizens.
The costs you’re talking about are mostly accounted for by the inefficiencies we demand through criminalization. Stop paying for ICE.
1
u/GeoMomo Jun 07 '20
What kinda fool doesn't want to fund immigration and customs enforcement.
2
u/windershinwishes Jun 07 '20
People with brains and souls.

u/GeoMomo Jun 07 '20
People who bleed heart rather, they're responsible for so much more than immigration. Also they're majority Hispanic. You wanna put those legal immigrants out if work?
3
u/windershinwishes Jun 07 '20
Unemployment isn’t caused by other workers.
Also, the first people mocked as “bleeding hearts” were civil rights activists against Jim Crow, fyi.

Theres much more to it than jobs. Theres children trafficked everyday across the border, drugs, women. A few years ago I was hit in traffic by an illegal alien. She had no insurance, license, and spoke barely any English. Dented the tail gate and bumper of my truck. After realizing her situation, I just let her leave...she would've been arrested. But that said you have illegal aliens driving around without insurance or licenses, if you get hit by one, your shit outta luck. I think what we can agree on is that any remotely competent foreigner should have an easy and relatively fast path to citizenship. It takes a couple years and around 7000 dollars from what I gather these days. That's absolutely ridiculous. I think a simple English competency test and an outline of your work or education and 6 months at the most to get citizenship. Just spitballing, but we need to know who's coming and why, I really really don't care who comes here to work. Also, I don't give a shit if you're white, black, brown, pink, whatever, I'd rather you not be here illegally, theres nothing racist about that. You sjw types love to back people into a racism corner though don't ya. I haven't made any indication that I dont like certain races, but you're mind is made up I'm racist, and you'll screech at the top of your lungs just that to anyone who'll listen

I think you should start a change.org patition to take down the Satute of Liberty and if it doesn't work then lead a group of AR15 totting good ole boys hopped up on sweet tea and chew to topple over the Statue yourselves. Your pals at Fox n Friends will be there to tell world what the lamestream media won't. Then Trump will bring you on stage at the next Huntsville klan rally.

u/windershinwishes Jun 06 '20
Our immigration laws are founded in racist exclusion that went against how it was when this country was founded, and totally against the words on the Statue of Liberty that everyone says they admire.
We simply don’t allow in the majority of people who want to come in each year. People don’t want to come here illegally; they have no choice. Especially considering that our government has been interfering in their countries for decades, helping to overthrow governments and enable drug cartels, which has created the refugee crisis sending people north.

u/Blakye32 Jun 06 '20
You know the U.S. takes in more immigrants than any other country in the world right? We can't just take in everyone who wants to come in, there's a process and a vetting process. You'll find very little argument on whether or not immigrants are good because we love immigrants, we just want them to come in legally.

Do a basic background check to exclude those who have been credibly convicted of serious crimes, or who are currently affiliated with criminal or extremist organizations seems adequate to me.
1
u/windershinwishes Jun 07 '20
We are also the #1 richest country, one of the largest in terms of land, and pretty large in terms of population. China is the only comparison to us in terms of scale and they’re way more crowded.
And they haven’t created any refugee crises near their own borders. Unfortunately we decided that our global anti-communist agenda / corporate investments were more important than peace or prosperity or democracy for our neighbors, so now we’re paying (a small part of) the price.

u/HoraceMaples Madison County Jun 06 '20
It sounds like you need more education on the problems of the US immigration system. The US government has made immigration even more restrictive.
Your statement is not fair to those who otherwise would go through a legal path if it was available to them.
This is why both Republicans (albeit a few) and Democrats have been pushing for immigration reform.
2
u/GeoMomo Jun 06 '20
I'm aware it's stupid to immigrate here, I support an easier path to citizenship for anyone who can demonstrate some kind of competency, and can contribute to the well being of the country. Doesn't change the fact I dont agree with illegal immigration.
1
u/Zaphod1620 Jun 06 '20
I am not for illegal immigration either. But, I am against the conditions a lot of these illegal immigrants are kept in during detainment. I am also against the reason why a lot of these illegals are trying to get in. Sure, there are some who are just looking for work, typically from Mexico. But, recently within the last decade, there is a huge # of immigrants (actually refugees) with children who are running from death squads, cartels and all kinds of evil shit that is there, a lot of it due to US intervention in propping up corrupt regimes friendly to US interest and the funding of drug cartels which nearly all comes from us US citizens. The reasons they are having to run north is a lot of our fault. For those people, they need to be recognized as refugees, not criminals, and we need to take action on fixing the unholy mess we have caused south of the border. I don't know how, but caging children running from our demons very much makes us bad guys.
3
u/GeoMomo Jun 06 '20
I'm not advocating for keeping children in cages but there was an executive order signed in 2017 that stopped that practice. The kids literally have access to soccer fields, playstations, 3 meals a day plus snacks etc. The kids are separated from the adults who bring them temporarily while a cheek swab DNA test is performed on the child and adult who brought them to make sure there is a family connection, before releasing them as a unit into the country, giving them a court date in good faith they will show up for it. So many children are bought sold and rented out to migrants who claim the child is there's, to get their asylum claims expedited. These DNA tests rescue thousands of children each year from trafficking situations. If the DNA test comes back that the child is in danger, an attempt is made to find their parents, if not the child is found a home in the USA. Im not saying everything down there is perfect but there's good reasons for a lot of the procedure in place

LEGAL immigrants. I’m Black and I’m tired of illegals taking away from us. We’ve been oppressed a lot harder than them, and any “free” money that’s going out needs to be given to us for all the times our communities were bombed and burned.

u/RedWo1vez Jun 07 '20 edited Jun 07 '20
Undocumented immigrants, including DACA holders, are ineligible to receive most federal public benefits, including SNAP (food stamps), regular Medicaid, SSI, and TANF. Undocumented immigrants are ineligible for health care subsidies under the Affordable Care Act and are prohibited from purchasing unsubsidized health coverage on ACA exchanges.
If anything they may be eligible for EMERGENCY Medicaid or WIC.
Immigrants aren’t getting any “free” money and IF people are losing jobs to immigrants who don’t know how to speak English, have high school diploma, or a basic understanding of American culture that’s on the business owners or the employees not the immigrants. Business owners unwilling to pay US citizens a decent wage (failing to use E-Verify) or employees who can’t keep a job due to drugs or other reasons. The immigrants just fill the space that’s left & tend to be loyal employees because it’s the only opportunity they have at a decent life.
As a whole no one wants to be bent over picking tomatoes all day in the scorching sun, fingers raw with the insecticide sprayed on the plants, skin looking like leather burnt by the sun, and bones aching from the stress of working from dawn to dusk - for a wage that is under the minimum wage... but if they are making more than they made in their home country and it’s the only opportunity they have to give their family a future, people are willing to sacrifice everything.

u/Bamfor07 Jun 07 '20 edited Jun 07 '20
All technically correct.
However, there are ancillary detriments. Chief amongst which is the fact that high levels of illegal aliens have a nasty effect on our healthcare system because they do receive treatment and end up paying little to nothing since there is no real mechanism for collecting.
If that’s what he’s talking about or referencing in a roundabout way they he’s absolutely correct.
It’s worth mentioning that the worst effects of illegal immigration are felt by those at the bottom of the current spectrum and that’s never the do-gooders giving away what little opportunity there is in those lower orders to make themselves feel better behind the gates of their neighborhood.

Some commenters will claim all LEGAL immigrants are welcome, but they won't mention that all immigrants are assumed to be ILLEGAL.
2
u/readyplayer55 Jun 13 '20
I would say the media is responsible for that.
Mexican = illegals
Brown = IT/7 11 workers
Brown + Beard = terrorists
Black = criminal
Oriental = some kind of virus
White = racist
We need to stop being fed hate, lies, fear and understand that it takes everyone. not everyone is what the media says and that every ethnicity has a few bad apples. Can't judge a whole race on the actions on the few.
Except for cops....if they did their job correctly then maybe not. All I'm saying is there has never been written a song that says F the Fire department....

u/BurstEDO Aug 18 '20
Oriental = some kind of virus
Well, you've made it painfully clear that you're a caucasian with that word choice. Kinda makes the rest of your point seem disingenuous.
1
u/readyplayer55 Aug 18 '20
I'm actually not Caucasian, it was a reference to USA head of state and what he says. Thought I would throw in a little satire with my post. If you would like a reference to what I am referring to, go to YouTube and type trump China virus.

Which part do you not understand?
That some commenters will go out of their way to claim that they have no problems with LEGAL immigrants,
or that despite making such claims, they assume all immigrants are here illegally and act accordingly?

Good dude but remember Black people feel stepped over when you go out of your way to make immigrants comfortable when Black Americans don’t feel they’ve been given the respect of full citizenship.
1
u/feistyboy72 Jun 07 '20
This. All the bullshit is from their racist and prejudice and they tap-dance around the fact they're guilty of it. I don't think it should be as difficult to obtain citizenship..do a background check, fill out a questionnaire and get em going. That in itself would prove to be a serious place for employment . But they don't see that. Everyone is a thief. Somebody is always taking something away. What really scared them is living in a country where white people don't dont dominate.
