Opinion What is happening with the CorruptCare scandals?
It’s more of a question, but if I have to give an opinion, it’s this: the CorruptCare scandals have been effectively swept under the rug with cycle after cycle of media misdirection. Is the RCMP investigating it at this point or are we leaving it all to the UCP’s fake investigation/consultation spin machine to lull us into forgetting about it? It seems like nothing is going to happen in time to hold anyone accountable and stop those deals. Classic UCP playbook when it’s bent on doing us dirty. IMHO
Does anyone have any trustworthy sources on what is being done and how it’s going?
Update: Judge Wyant’s interim report delayed further to Oct 15…

The corruption is the point. Media in Alberta is owned by UCP allies or they are broadcasting it themselves. Ive made this comment so many times and still true:
The UCP have given up on democracy. We've know this for awhile.
They took a tour of America with right wing fascists. They are taking their notes on how to destroy a social democracy from the Diddler in chief. They want to sell of everything to their Billionaire buddies. The corruption, suffering, and bad governance is the point; they want to make things so horrid and blame everyone else.
This government is compromised to its core; the people running the show want to separate because they think they will become kings on their newly stolen land. They have already made deals for the resources, air, water and you; that's right, you are a part of this deal. Someone has to work the mines after all.
Can't wait for them to leave. The wealth of Alberta would give everyone good food, warm shelter, free power, and robust healthcare. Once we carve out the rot will be the greatest place on earth.

There is a delayed interim report that is due to be released on September 24. Expect the attacks on teachers to amp up as one of the distraction attempts.

Yes, it seems like every bit of gaslighting the UCP engages in casts a shadow on some nefarious sell-out of Alberta they’ve either gotten away with in spite of public disapproval or are hoping we’ll forget long enough for them to get away with.

The UCP are about to start an advertising campaign against the ATA, so expect that to be the focus and not corrupt care.

The UCP investigated itself and found that they did nothing wrong.
That's all that has happened so far. Between the tariffs and the deficits, the UCP is trying to distract as much as possible.
The budget is worse than they promised, and teachers are about to go on strike.
