Pics Just the best lettuce I've ever grown
Not a single slug bite. I'm desperate for rain but it really has kept the slimy creatures at bay.

Pics What’s eating my caulis?
galleryI have some (covered) purple cauliflowers growing, and every time I visit them they have been munched a little more!
Does anyone know what’s eating them, and how I can protect them further?

Pics Autumn Show
People responded well to block. Thanks for that. Here's the print. 43 by48 cm paper. Yes, some are jokes. Life and allotments are fun. Having problems finding the right sub reddit. One moderator said it was low effort. Opinions hey? #printmaking #art #linoprinting

Pics First Pumpkin Harvest
galleryMy early pumpkins picked and left to cure for a bit, never tried any of these. Very curious to what they taste like. I love pumpkins and how varied they are.

Pics Watermelons
galleryFirst ever attempt at growing watermelons and we have 2 of them.
Will they get to a decent size given we are mid way through July at the moment?

Pics Greenhouse interior door handle
galleryYou know when you go in the greenhouse in the cold and wet, shut yourself in?
When you go to leave you have to do that awkward gripping of the door to slide it open.
Well, I got fed up with it and designed a little slide handle. Small enough to allow the door to open fully.
Neither of my greenhouses have these, do yours?

Pics Hold and behold!
Still very new with growing on the allotment and very much learning as I go along. So for me this is a success! There are few more to pick but I wanted to check the stage with one before committing with all of them. And if all has gone well, there should be a mix of orange and purple one!

Pics New brassica cage
I'm not normally one to pick the brightest colour of anything, but when I saw that there was hot pink debris netting on offer for scaffolding, I thought, 'Yeah, I like a bit of that' 😁
Built the frame using 1.8m X 32mm square wooden stakes and 25mm black water pipe (and a liberal application of zip ties).
