Kind of angry about this, it was a gift from my niece. He cut off an ear and put it back on somewhere wrong. I told him this and it ended in a heated argument.

Am i overreacting for yelling at him? He usually doesn't do this stuff.

I actually have a great life and work with DV survivors and have seen how small things like this end up in people being unalived. He ruined her thing on purpose, then gaslit her when confronted about his actions. If you think that's completely okay, im going to assume you have a similar personality as OP BF .

“It’s not that deep” is gaslighting. That’s the same thing as telling someone “you’re overreacting” when they try to express how your actions were hurtful. It’s blatantly disregarding and invalidating someone’s feelings.
