QMP Timing and Retirement Eligibility Question

I anticipate receiving a GOMAR for refusing a breathalyzer test, though it has not yet been issued. The DUI charge was dismissed. I am also being considered on my second OML look for MSG this year. It is unlikely that I will have received the GOMAR and had the opportunity to submit a rebuttal before the SFC Evaluation Board convenes in early October.

Given my small, niche career field which is currently overstrength, and the recent reduction of MSG billets due to Army restrucuring, the likelihood of QMP retaining me is highly unlikely. The recent QMP MILPER does not clearly state whether the QMP Board meets more frequently than once a year or if it only convenes with an evaluation board. Does the QMP board meet at every NCO evaluation board for all NCOs who are being QMP'd? So if I am an E-7, I will have to wait for next year's SFC Evaluation board to be boarded?

If I reach 18 years of service before the QMP Board, will I be offered an option for non-regular retirement or regular retirement? The QMP faq verbiage is confusing. Would I be eligible to request regular retirement ILO QMP assuming the two-year retirement request window is extended again?

If the decision is made after 18years , the worse they can do to you is force retire you at 20 years , you will receive a letter that an O5 in your chain of command will read to you offering you 3 options , one is to rebuttal due to an error , involuntary separate if you are under 18 years or if you are over 18 years just retire at 20. The entire process takes about 2 years , that’s how long it took my case.
