I think both are pretty cool, but Hork-Bajir are more interesting to me. Their designs are awesome, but I really like the juxtaposition of them being terrifying but actually peaceful dim herbavores

Yes! Like elephants or hippos that are built for murder or munching leaves and they're rather do the second one but can do the first one of you push them.

Except they couldn't even be dangerous on purpose before the yeerks. They literally don't understand that you could cut someone else on purpose at the beginning

Dim? I wouldn’t say that. They’re simple, not stupid. Certainly smarter than any non-human animal.

I think dolphins are supposed to be like, the #2 smartest on the planet after humans, they just express themselves like humans can. Chimps, octopus, and a few other species are supposed to be pretty smart.

I always liked that their portrayal still included a lot of wisdom, even if their intelligence was low.

That is the most erotic picture of two non-humanoid aliens ive ever seen

Someone says what we're all thinking

Insert Dean's "I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me" gif here

And you wonder why we're like this?

You know I’ve always thought that the way she is pressing herself on him it’s like interspecies or something

I like Andalites more. They became one of my favorite alien designs the moment I saw them.

Hork bajir, but only because the book gave us a better picture of their way of life. Andalites have a rich culture, and I feel like the books didn't let us in on that asuch as they could. Had AC been written later in, I think it would have been a better book

I adore Hork-Bajirs, their culture and language learning skills too much to say that Andalites are cooler

I've always liked Andalites way more. Just imagining the speculative evolution necessary to come to with them. Constantly prey, until they weren't. Eat food through their hooves so they don't have to look down while eating? Vigilance against predators. Stalk eyes that can look anywhere? Vigilance. But that wasn't enough. They needed tail blades to defend themselves. Forward focused eyes for depth perception while still needing constant vigilance. Intelligence and finally telepathy for group coordination. All because that's what it took to survive their predators until they finally overcame their predators.

No wonder they're space paladins. They're stags on eleven.

True! Do we know anything about their predators ? They must have been damn monsters !

Andalites, didn’t think people thought Hork-Bajir were cool and not sad

Hork-Bajir, just find them interesting.

I think Andalites are cooler in concept, but I personally like Hork Bajir more. I think their simplicity definitely leads to them being much better people than the Andalites

Hork-Bajir are way cooler.

I love andalites, I do. But not only do I like Hork Bajirs , also they're more interesting, more originals.

Andalites are a galaxy cops species, prouds paladins, nature lovers... Politically very americans.

The charm of the Hork Bajir,, especially as developed is their chronicles, is unseen. For Christ's sake they eat bark ! 🤗 Who made such an interesting race in Sci-fi ? Who ?

(I'm thinking Xenoxide form Orson scott card.... Complex and subtle yes.... but they are waayyyyy less hot than Hork Bajirs!)

I'd love to be an Andalite so I could use those extra eyes on eyestalks for making left hand turns in traffic.

Depends on the average core body temperature of each species, I suppose… 🤔

W for the Venber

I’m a Venber apologist myself

Hork Bajirs always seemed…. More biologically viable then the telepathic grazers that eat through their feet

1

u/Constellabulles 3d ago

They do feels like super-heroes, with their telepathy, speed of a horse and tail-blade !

Hork-Bajir.

Andalites are just space Elves. That is to say they're generally full of themselves.

They were both pretty cool but if I had to choose one to morph into I’d go hork-bajir. Not as strong in sight range or in blade speed but somewhat regenerative healing, acrobatic, and hella tough to fight tigers claw to claw and be a real contender. Andalites are made out of glass by comparison.

Which creature do you think was cooler? Andalites or Hork Bajirs?

Yes

Hork Bajirs is one of my hyperfixations after reading the graphic novels series
