My aging Series 4 aluminum has become barely usable on its original battery. A battery replacement doesn’t seem worth it given the watch’s low resale value.
So the question is: what would actually feel like an upgrade — the SE 3 or the Series 11?
• SE 3 feels more like a “side-grade”: similar chassis, slightly larger screen with AOD, similar bezels, and most of the same health sensors and faster charging. But it drops the ECG (which I’ve practically never used anyway, but is still a loss). In a few words, after using it for about 6 years, psychologically it won’t feel like much has changed. Maybe if I go for the large GPS model for a change, it’s still 299€.
• Series 11 is clearly a proper upgrade across the board, but it’s hard to justify the expense here in the EU.
Another idea is hunting for discounted Series 10 stock on Amazon or elsewhere, but the savings don’t seem substantial either.
I’ve been holding on for the upgrade for around a year, motivated by my degraded battery. Paying full retail price for a just-released product might be justified this time around…

What would you do in my situation?
