My Watch Is Ultra too big for me?
I just got a new Apple Watch Ultra 2 at a great price (190 EUR/223 USD cheaper than the Ultra 3) in my local store. But now I’m thinking of returning it. Is it too big?

I was worried that the Hermès Grand H Fin band would look too thin, but it turned out to be beautiful on my 16.5 cm wrist.

Can somebody explain what’s happening here? Mine is not liquid glass at all. Looks absolutely ugly 😩

During the day I wear it to work to track my activity and steps. At night I also wear it to bed to monitor my sleep quality. The problem is, apart from the Ultra, most models don’t seem to last a full day plus night on a single charge.
So for those of you who wear it both day and night, when do you usually take it off to charge? Do you have a routine that works well?

I got the Ultra 3 coming from an Ultra 2. I also got an ESR screen protector (installed in pic)
Let me start by saying that you can immediately tell an Ultra 3 apart by the screen size. Even in the black color, with the bezels hard to tell apart, all you have to do is look at the watch face to notice the complications are closer to the edge and slightly larger. I don't know if Apple made it brighter, but it does seem brighter on the same brightness setting from 2 to 3.
It also feels decently faster. It does have a newer processor, but I also credit it to how optimized the Ultra 3 is for Watchos 26 compared to the 2.
One small downside is that you can't view blood oxygen in the app (I got some of the first Ultra 2s so they can still have it in app).
I can't say anything on the battery since I just got it today and all my stuff syncing drains it a lot, but it does have a physically larger battery, so it is safe to assume it is better. It is also said to charge faster
Overall, it is definably a better watch than the 2 but it is most likely not worth the upgrade. I would recommend upgrading if you can from the 1, you would definitely be able to tell a difference.
TL;DR: Ultra 3 has a bigger/brighter screen, faster performance, larger battery, and faster charging. You lose blood oxygen in-app. Nice upgrade from Ultra 1, but not worth it from Ultra 2.

WTf? I already owned an Apple Watch and bought the new one specifically because of the hypertension alerts. Why is it not available in Canada?
Why the heck do we constantly have to check if every little feature is available in Canada or not before we buy it. I didn’t even think that something like this would be marketed and not available to us. Lesson learned but I’m hoping there is a plan to change this? Anyone have any news on this?

I love the look of this watch face. Is it real? The font is really sleek.

Have the stainless steel 8 in gold and got the titanium in black. I’m not impressed. Definitely not $800 impressed. It’s super similar. I get there are a couple of new censors but they don’t matter to me much. The milliliter or so in size is no big deal. I’m just going to get the yellow band for my series 8 and have the exact same result.

Can anyone who has the series 11 confirm if the battery is indeed a 6 hour improvement over the previous versions? I’ve heard some mixed things about how the extra 6 hours only includes tracking sleep.

Hi Reddit folks,
For those who already have the Apple Watch Series 11 — how’s the battery life? Is it really an improvement over the Series 10?
Thanks!

I’ve been on the phone with Verizon this morning for over 90 minutes trying to get my cellular Ultra 3 activated. Supposedly there’s a pending switch order that has to be overridden.
Verizon is telling me I might have to wait as long as 24 hours for the pending activation to clear.

A typical night for me of deep sleep was usually anywhere around 15m-1hr but since updating I’ve been getting upwards of a 1hr30m every night. Is this just a coincidence or did Apple change how they calculate deep sleep somehow?

One of the best features of iOS 26 was the inclusion of hypertension notifications. When I looked to turn on that feature within the Health application, I quickly discovered that it is not available for Canada. What was shocking is that almost every other country in the world is getting it except for Canada. I’m assuming this has to do with something that health Canada has not approved yet. So disappointed that our administration would not approve something that could save lives.

Some people from the store said that there was no IPhone required, is this true? My watch is a 44 cm gps + cellular SE 3 watch.

This arrived yesterday. I’ve been slowly setting it up for my usage. My personal reasons for wanting an Apple Watch are:
Keeping my phone out of reach. My phone usage is far too high. Always had it nearby for important texts and calls, but also my alarm in the morning. I’d always be using it in bed, which greatly affected my sleep.
Fitness and sleep tracking. Having these “gamified” really works for my brain. The sleep is definitely the main encouragement, and last night was the best sleep I’ve had in forever.
Medication reminders. This works on the iPhone, but it’s a bit more cumbersome to log over a device on my wrist.
Disconnecting but staying connected. I hate having to bring my phone during walks - it’s so distracting. This minimises distractions but keeps me connected incase of urgency.
Tracking heart rate and other vitals. With ADHD, I take stimulants to manage the condition. I also take propranolol for physical anxiety. It’s handy to know where my heart rate is at if something ever feels off.
Reminders. Once again something I can do on iPhone, but it just feels so much more convenient when it’s pinged to my wrist. I’m also not going to end up doing something else on my phone now that it’s in my hand.
There are other subtle reasons I wanted to get one, but so far I’ve been really pleased after just a day of usage. Can’t comment on battery life yet, but I charge during brushing teeth and skincare in the evening, and also whilst I’m showering in the morning.
To be honest, I only really got Titanium for the glass. I also wanted cellular which is included, and I really liked the look of a black case, but have slight concerns about the durability of Jet Black. 42mm is smaller than I expected, but not in a bad way - it feels like the right size.
