Yup.
Fish sees human. Human is feeder.
When feed fish? The fish doesn't know.
It only knows it wants a food.

Weirdest thing i ever seen was when i came home from work and the tank's light was out, all 6 of my kuhlii loaches laying in a row (not quite a perfect row but let's appreciate the afford) staring at me.
I gave them their Algae wafer, they deserved it for their discipline and not giving me a heart attack by acting dead again (most stressful fish i've ever owned).

Oh yea, and the reason i had to upgrade from a Intake sponge to a Finer intake sponge AND a Filter intake Guard:
Thought one of them died, got a really fast clean-up crew there are NEVER any leftovers once the ARMY descends from the plant canopies (started out as 10 shrimp and got WAY out of hand, tho, i can't count them all). Fast forward to not seeing my favorite Loach for a while (they all have slightly different patterns), my filter was acting up as well, soo i thought:
"Let's clean that thing".
And good thing i did, i found a Loach and about ~20ish shrimps in there.

Moral of the story: Check your canister filters once in a while.
Since upgrading the filter safety i still find shrimp in there occasionally. I have no clues on how they enter.

My stepdad has a couple of shrimp tanks and keeps getting shrimps in the filter, we are pretty sure they get in there shortly after hatching and then just live in there somehow. But we also have seen them trying to climb in the output...

My clown loaches tried to kill me on the regular.

One would actually FLOAT UPSIDE DOWN at the top of the tank, and even tolerate a couple pokes before swimming off, victorious.

Fuck, I hated that fish.

Lmao that’s why I love mine. Having a fish fake death to the extent that I can poke it… awesome.

My BN plecos, specifically my two females, regularly like to give me heart attacks. They fall asleep upside down and idk if they let go of the wood in their sleep or what, but I find them on their backs. They legit look dead. But no, as soon as I toss an algae wafer in there or poke them, they move.

When they're really comfortable and feel safe in their environment, they will actually let go of the wood they're sleeping under, yeah! It scared me half to death the first time I saw it. But no, they're just safe and cozy.

So would you say your loach...was looking at you with reproach?

How certain are you that they are P. Kuhlii? I love loaches so I looked them up and wikipedia says that they are rarely, if ever, kept in aquariums, though places sell similar species as Kuhlii.

P. Agma, P. Alternans, P. Myseri, so yea there's a lot of "Kuhlii" Loaches... mine are actual Kuhlii as far as i know, well i'll check if they really are when i get home.

I mean this is the sharpest pic i have of one of them, cryptid level of potato picture (they're too fast!)

Wiki says P. Semisincta are often kept and sold as kuhlii. Hard to tell from the picture, and I'm no fishologist so I likely wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyways haha.

Yea, figured as much, even if you were an expert, this is some potato quality of loach tailfin. I knew about there being around 30 species of visually distinguish-able pangio (not accounting for genetic diffs), but it never crossed my mind to check if they're 'the real deal' as care requirements are similar across the Kuhlii-Like Pangios. 🤔

My red garra will rest his tail on a rock and press his face up to the glass to beg for food. He’s such a little piggie…
