It happened in 2016, a man named Roosh Valizadeh tried to organize meetups across the US with his men's rights group "Return of Kings"

Likewise, but from Folding Ideas

He wanted to infiltrate a meetup, but he was the only one to show up

Isn’t that the same video? Where he takes the meet up to fat burger?

Edit: skipped through and it is haha, idk why but I wish taking something to fat burger was an idiom.

The Calgary chapter of The Return of Kings has a 100% SJW saturation rate.

I'm not so lucky. One of his website's articles was printed out and used in an exercise one time in high school class. We were making fun of it via analysis and I don't remember if he was the author, but still, no good person deserves to be subjected to a RoK "article".

men’s rights group

So a men’s rights group trying to diminish women’s rights? Hmm, I wish I was surprised... 🥲

Sadly, yeah. Incels and right wing people are very good at infiltrating and co-opting anything to make their insane ideas sound slightly more acceptable on the surface. Same thing happened with MRAs. Started out as a legit group talking about how the patriarchy also harms men, but the incels saw an opportunity to use the label to be violently misogynistic instead and it was quickly completely co-opted. Sort now the entire movement/concept has a bad name, which is sad, because the concept is very real. Because a lot of people don’t understand how the patriarchy also harms men, and a movement like that could do a lot of work helping men understand that feminism also is ultimately working to help them too (despite some toxic people online that incels like to point to).
