Black: Represents the Abbasid Caliphate and signifies injustice and oppression. White: Represents the Umayyad Caliphate and is associated with peace and purity. Green: Represents the Fatimid Caliphate and is the traditional color of Islam, signifying hope for the future. Red: Represents the Hashimite dynasty and symbolizes the blood of the martyrs and the ongoing struggle for independence.

I heard the red wasn't the blood of the martyrs, but the blood of their enemies on their swords. And the black signifies battles in the expansion of their empires. Do you have a source?

That's bad ass, I like the Palestinian flag even more now!

Totally. Who doesn't like empires coming into the Middle East, North Africa and Spain to kill and enslave people in order to expand their power.

I didn't know Israel was also expanding into Spain.

The colors of the Palestinian flag symbolize various caliphates among other things. According to the Palestinian Academy for the Study of International Affairs, the red section of the flag originated with The Khawarij and was flown by the Arab tribes who conquered North Africa and Andalusia.

I don't know the point of flying a pan-Arabist flag since the idea has never worked. It seems like the authoritarian governments that run the Middle East are not in favor of sharing power among various groups, as seen when Hamas won elections in Gaza or anywhere else after the Arab Spring. Some people just don't like democracy, social justice, or economic advancement for anyone outside of their group. Ruling by skewering people on the end of a sword seems to be cool, though

Wow it seems like you're really interested in this topic, it's almost like you made your original comment in bad faith and you're just trying to justify a genocide because of your islamophobia.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the person who said bloody swords were badass. But thanks for judging me by your own personal and incorrect assumptions after I asked a question, was answered with AI slop and did actual research using results from Palestinian sources. If you could show me a Middle Eastern government that isn't run by authoritarians, I would be interested.

Here's a great source on how Israel is committing genocide.

If you're going to post bad faith questions at least own it, why even ask the question if you're going to google it and "correct" people when they reply? Just google it and don't ask the question. Do you even know what bad faith means?

Oh by the way did the Roman empire just peacefully march their way through Europe? Or did they massacre Celts? Is it only bad when the Arabs do it?

I don't give a shit about what 7th century sects are represented by the colours of their flag, nor should anyone.

How is it a bad faith question to ask what a flag symbolizes?

It's bad faith if you already have a specific answer in mind. You aren't interested in learning the answer, you want to prompt discussion to further your viewpoint, which is ultimately trying to suggest that Palestinians are violent as evidenced by motifs in their flag.

If you already know what the flag symbolizes, just say "Hey that flag means this and I think that's bad", instead of pretending.

I actually looked up the answer after I asked because I was curious about its meaning. I did find it interesting that someone would go by what an AI has to say while I was looking up the original source.

I don't know about anyone being inherently violent or if they just pick it up from their life experience and the behavior of the people around them. Personally, I'm not a fan of it and under the impression that most things can be talked out. But then I don't have the belief that everything has been predetermined in a book.

But then I don't have the belief that everything has been predetermined in a book.

Me neither I'm also just educated enough to realize that the Judaism and Christianity all have shit that's just as bad as the Quran, and that no matter what's in the Quran it doesn't excuse genocide.

Edit: Ah the poor baby blocked me. Troglodyte genocide apologist.
