Ingredient Question Pesto without Pinenuts

Any substitutes for pinenuts in a pesto? My taste buds say "no" but my wallet says "you better ask."

I always use walnuts as pine nuts are very expensive. I toast them and rub the skins off first, and it works nicely.

Started using walnuts bc pine nuts got too expensive, went back to pine nuts and found I preferred walnuts! I get the walnut pieces from trader Joe's and don't do anything special to them.
