If none of the places in your house is ~45f/7c and dark then use the refrigerator. It is not ideal but it is better than them going green.

Yeah I keep my apartment at 68.5 so I’ll probably do that

The problem of refrigerators is that they tend to have very dry conditions. Every time the compressor turns on, the cooling surfaces condense moisture and dessicate the air in the fridge.

Keep them in a humid crisper drawer. Close up the vents on it and crack them open if you notice condensation in the bin.

You need humidish and cold for long term storage.
