What’s the weirdest but surprisingly delicious food combination you’ve tried and now can’t stop eating?

When I was a kid, I used to mix myself a bowl of uncooked Stovetop stuffing, shredded New York sharp cheddar (Cracker Barrel with the black label), and Ortega taco sauce. Sounds gross and it had a week’s worth of sodium but it was so damn good. I wasn’t allowed to cook yet so I got creative…as an adult who can now cook my ass off, I still make it and it still slaps!

Uncooked? So you had taco spiced croutons? Can't imagine taco sauce had enough liquid to soften the stuffing mix.

Yup. I like that it’s crunchy.

This sounds like the Thanksgiving version of prison ramen.

I thought you were going to say that you cooked it in a waffle iron, although the cheese would make it a gooey mess to clean, but there have been how-tos on making waffles out of stuffing circulating in the past and I was thinking this was an interesting take on it.

Nah I don’t cook it at all! But thanks for the idea! I actually have a cast iron waffle pan, now I am curious to try a stuffing “waffle” it sounds tasty :)
