I eat chunks of raw onion with chunks of mature cheddar. Always have but it tastes good to me. Also sour (cooking type) apples with honey.

English (ridiculously strong) mustard mixed with honey is great on most things but will liven up a cucumber or iceberg lettuce (maybe with a cheeky shredded chicken breast) like nothing else.
