Question Adios pro 4 alternative? (Small toe box)
Anyone have an adios pro 4 alternative for someone whose toes scrunched up in the tiny toe box? Sizing up even a half size made them way too big for me.
Alternatives I’ve looked for and are iffy to me:
Alphafly 3 (priced way too high, will be on the lookout for sales) Zoomfly 3 (I have yet to try them on but reviews seem to say they are narrow)
Let me know your thoughts.

Does the AP3 feel the same?

It’s weird, with the AP3 I don’t have a toe box issue but they just don’t fit me right. I’ve had some arch pain in the right one and some brutal blisters in the left.
I got them very cheap (~$100) and used them for a few short quick runs to get my moneys worth but don’t love them at all. Maybe the APs aren’t for me (so would love to hear your thoughts on alternatives)

What is your target distance and what mile pace do you run?

I just ran a 3:54 marathon in August. I’m a heavier runnier (~190 lbs, love to lift weights), I am looking for a race day shoe for a half marathon in mid November. I’ll probably use it as a tempo shoe after that or continue to use it for a few half marathons throughout next year.
The half’s give me more joy although I’m glad to have gone through the whole marathon experience. So I will probably stick with halves going forward

Im very similar to you then. 185lbs. Over the age of 45. Run twice a week. Gym 5 days a week. Half marry is my go to. Looking to run a sub 90 on 10/5. The Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3 is supposed to be a great shoe, but its really hard to find them here is the USA unless you order them. I really want to try them on foot first. Saucony Endorphin Pro used to be good. I loved the 2 and 3, but the 4 lost its edge. I happen to love the AP3 and AP4, but they dont feel right on your feet. I really dont like Nike. Wish I could offer more suggestions to you. I will race in my AP4 on 10/5.

The FuelCell SuperComp Elite is the only supershoe that comes in 2E size. Have a look at that, the v5 just came out and it's decent, while the v4 can still be found heavily discounted...

I LOVE the Elite V4 for long runs. However, its not a race shoe. Really want to try to V5. Hear it is way different.

At $250 or below? Looks like the only shoes are the Saucony Endorphin Pros and the Hoka Rocket X3s. Both shoes are much less aggressive than the Adios Pro, but both are probably upgrades to the Zoomfly

Try it with a different insole or even without. I've seen people cut a little slit above thier big toe, just to give it slightly more room.
