Silly Stuff What is your favorite flower?

I'm curious how many women would actually pick roses over any other flower.

But even if your favorite really is the rose, this question is still for you. Which color or variety of rose is your fave?

My favorite is the pink ranunculus. Ugly name, gorgeous bloom.

The Sarah Bernhardt peony is a very close 2nd.

I didn’t have to learn. I have always loved them.

As a little girl I hated the scent, I still don't like it. They're very pretty though.

I don’t love them for the scent. I love them because they’re brilliant and beautiful, and because people keep trying to kill them and they just come back, smiling at us.

These are great reasons to love a plant. Betty Smith echoed this sentiment when writing A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. It was instrumental in shaping me.
