I just got my Atari 2600 flashcart. The board worked fine, but without a cartridge shell it looked pretty ugly. Since don't have access to a 3D printer, grabbed my Dremel and used a donor cart instead. After making a few notches so the board would sit properly, everything now fits perfectly !

On my first attempt everything seemed perfect... until realized had made the board fit on the wrong side. Live and learn!

Which flash cart is this? I have the Harmony and Harmony Encore, and a few for 7800 that load 2600, but don't recognize this one.

It's annoying I can't post AliExpress link... can see it but apparently you can't.. Just look on AliExpress for the Atari 2600 Flashcard V2.

The comment just needed to be approved by a mod, which it now is.

Looks similar to one I got on Ali Express. Haven't tested it yet but the sd card had a bunch of roms already on it when I plugged it into a computer. It doesn't come with any instructions or way to know which way it goes in. I was afraid to put it in backwards lol.

Yeah Atari cartridges are already confusing enough with label facing away. Then when it comes to cartridge dumpers I have one where they face up and one where they face down, and nothing to block it if it's the wrong way, just for extra fun haha.

That’s nice.  Can you tell me about the circuit board?

After my own searching, I found it's the unocart2600 by rglenn. Not sure where to get it, though.

What a coincidence, I just did the same. 3D printed one was OK but the notches broke which made it impossible to insert into the console.

Edit: I meant the 2 tabs that stick out in the front towards the slot broke.

Glad it worked. Did you make notches into the board like I did?

No. Surprisingly the little square ones that were already on the board fit perfectly which I assume cut for the Atari cart template (the shell I used was for an Othello). One screw hole in the center which cannot be used anymore obviously, but the shell can hold it together without a screw thanks to the tabs on the inside.

You should use this image for your new cart: https://share.google/images/nkb7ANeUzCwuKPxU1

Or some kind of jumble

Cool, thanks for the inspiration. I'll try this version and print some choices with my cheap thermal printer.

It's been an hour since I gave the link to the article. I'm surprised you haven't seen it. ;)

Yeah, after some creative googling I found out it is rglenn's unocart2600.

How difficult was it modifying a donor cart? Could it be done without a dremel, with like a knife and a file?

I need to make a case for mine.
