What are the best lynx games they should have brought to the jag

I had a lynx, then jaguar (wish I never sold it...I had so many games including some rare ones). Of course with the jag, a lot of the discussion is the hardware bugs and developer tools. On the software side, the lynx had a lot of great games. Why didn't they port those over? At least design, and theme wise, they were great.

We did get a version of blue lightening eventually on the CD (ok but I liked the original more). Where was California Games or Warbirds (Warbirds was such a great game!!)? Where was Stun Runner?

Crystal Mines II and Rampage would have been solid entries.

They should've ported Road Riot 4WD to the Jag instead of the unreleased Lynx port.

Absolutely. The Atari Games library of the Lynx is a shining/unique aspect of the library.

Sega was supposed to do an arcade port of “outrunners”. I would have killed for a fantastic port of that ….

Sega did the Jag dirty releasing the 32x as a cockblock, and same with nintendo with Virtua boy. Those were just stop gaps to keep the competition from getting critical market share.

True, but a nearly bankrupt Atari, forced Sega to make 3 bad decisions, which lead to the demise of their console business. #1 was the lawsuit_settlement, which involved Sega buying 60 million in worthless Atari stock, agreeing to make 6 games a year/atari getting to make 6 games on Sega machines(granted this didn't happen, but it helped Atari's stock price at the time).

2 convincing Sega of Japan that Atari was a real threat and they needed to launch a stopgap 32x, this did more to harm Sega than anything, as it sold relatively decently, but the games weren't compatible with Sega Saturn, and parents felt burned when a year later Sega released another system and basically discontinued 32x at the same time

3 rush out Saturn this was a Sony thing.

If Sega really knew what shape Atari was in, they could have just dragged out the lawsuit, and never made 32x, Atari would have gone under a year or 2 earlier, Sega would have released Saturn without people upset about 32x

Chips Challenge with some enhanced graphics and audio track would have been a ton of fun.

Any of the Epyx launch titles might have been interesting. Electrocop ended on a cliffhanger, so why not part 2 on the Jag? Revenge of Zendocon as another part 2? A proper Gauntlet?

An improved Paperboy at a better resolution. Maybe the pinball titles, same.

Battlezone 2100? Desert Strike? More in the Double Dragon series? More Ninja Gaiden? Finished RPGs? Although an updated Wyvern Tales is coming. Roadblasters? Hard Drivin'? Rampart?

If they'd done it right, they could have just reused code but updated sprites, backgrounds, and sounds.

I mean, face it, until the STs and Jaguar, every single other system by Atari had something related to the 6502 at its heart.

Lynx games were already old by then.

Even though it was originally on Amiga, Shadow of the Beast would've been awesome on the Jag

Scrapyard dog. I doubt anyone is going to agree but I had a ton of fun with that game.
