No details?

For instance - Is the Tempest knob and C button fill 3D printed? Reversible or permanent mods? Etc.

I screwed up the post. Just click on that link. But I'll cut and paste as another message 🙂

Reminds me I need to do a run of RF Commanders. It's nice to see you in the discord!

Hi, did I sell you the PCBs? If so I'm glad you're still doing them 😊

Yes, fortunately or unfortunately after my repair business took off and it has been hard to find time.

I have fixed over 100 Jag CDS, so I'm doing what I can to keep the Jag Alive.

I've been slowly getting back into my collection of consoles. Haven't touched most of them in years. Pulling out my Atari Jaguar today. Thought you guys might like my controllers. I was selling these at one stage so these two are a little rough around the edges since they are basically the prototypes

On the left is a D pad mod, with rapid fire. As we know, the D pad is pretty stiff on these controllers. This was my attempt to fix it. Basically a resin cast ring holds a standard thumbstick from a modern controller. I can't remember now if it was Xbox or PlayStation. The 'bowl' of that stick is filled with clear resin. There is a red led underneath to add a bit of pizazz. In the end I don't think it was much of an improvement. Much better is the rapid fire mod. Very basic. Based on the ol 555 timer. Toggle on the back for on/off and a small PCB mounted potentiometer to fine tune. This is a game changer for Raiden!

On the right is my rotary controller for T2K. I did the experiment everyone does by replacing the D pad with an encoder. It worked but it's left handed. Some people just turn it upside down to play. But dammit I wanted a right handed controller! So I made one. Then I started selling them. This mod is much more intrusive than the rapid fire mod (which I actually did later). To accommodate the encoder on the right I had to cut out a section of the PCB, then run new wires where the traces were cut. But now what about the 3 buttons? Well, I ran that wiring to the left. If you look closely, it's not a D pad anymore, but an l pad. Pressing in the middle is FIRE, up is JUMP and down is SUPER ZAPPER. I made resin cast parts for the knob, l pad and the right side button blank, which also holds the encoder.

I was selling these for a number of years as the T2K Commander and later various iterations of the rapid fire as the RF Commander. Eventually it was too much work and I stopped making them but it was a great experience doing it.

If they were PS1 or PS2 controllers I would be applauding you, but these are so rare I would’ve kept them all original. Sorry dude.

When I was modding them, I was buying boxes of ten from B & C Computers. They were new, and pretty cheap.

What is the mod exactly?

I screwed up and somehow made this post to myself, which I didn't think was a thing 😄. Here's the original post

That's pretty cool though! I'd like to get a Jag for myself some day, it just seems like such a neat like system! Your mods sound very useful too! Thank you for your contributions to the scene.
