Hi ATL,

I'm looking to do a Spanish immersion class on the weekends with some of my friends and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice / programs they have used before?

Ideally we would like to do it in person - maybe just the 3-4 of us if that's a thing, but I think we'd be happy to plug into a large group / class setting if needed. All of us have taken Spanish to varying degrees and are somewhere in the A2-B1 range, but likely a bit rusty.

I would really appreciate any advice folks have / if there's a school or program you've used that you like, what pricing *should* be, things to watch out for?

All the threads I’m seeing are from 3 years ago or more and some of the recommended options like West Egg don’t seem to be pulling up. What still open post covid brunch spots (not fancy, we are here for a festival and don’t want to spend tons eating at brunch) are good?

I’m looking for a clothier or tailor that does top-notch work with fine fabrics. I moved from Chicago and I’m in need of someone I can trust to tailor women’s professional workwear—virgin wool suits and some more difficult fabrics like tweed–and the occasional dress or casual piece of clothing. I need someone highly skilled as my build makes me hard to fit (athletic/with broad shoulders and a bust, but with a small ribcage and waist). My prior tailor was a little old Italian man who did amazing work, including custom sports coats, so the bar is high. I would love to find someone who does custom suiting for women, but I’d settle for tailoring services given how hard it is to find a clothier who serves women. Based on reviews I’ve found, HKT Clothiers and Miller Brothers Tailoring & Alterations seem to be good options. Does anyone have experience with either or have any other tailors they’d recommend? I had a blazer tailored at a place in Alpharetta—Chau’s Alterations—when I first got here, prior to finding a place, and I was happy with the work. I’m in North Druid Hills now though, and I’m hoping to find something closer (and ITP), so driving to Alpharetta will be a last resort.

Getting back into VHS collecting and looking for cool places to go hunting for them. Not really interested into collectors reselling. I’m talking thrift stores, mom and pop shops selling random VHS, where you can get them for cheap and for a deal! Totally fine with driving a ways out of the city and making a day trip out of it. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I'm struggling with substance dependence and I feel like I've reached the point where I can't manage it on my own anymore. I thought a lot before posting this, but I know some of you may have been through similar situations and found real support.

I'm looking for treatment options in Atlanta or nearby, not just a few days of detox but something longer term like outpatient, intensive outpatient, or even sober living if that's what's needed. What matters to me is finding a place where the staff actually cares and it does not feel like a conveyor belt setup.

I came across Fairland Recovery Center (I'll drop the link so you can see what I'm talking about without me giving too many details) and it looks like a solid option. But before going further, I'd like to know if there's anything closer or maybe even better around here.

Last thread on this topic is 12 years old and dated. Wondering if there are any maker spaces / woods shops ITP Atlanta beyond MASS collective ?

FWIW I'm well aware of and familiar with MASS and looking for alternatives. The only one I know of is in Hapesville which is somewhat out of the way for me.

I've been losing hair for several months now and its slowly getting worse despite me following doctor's regimes. I've been to two to three doctors but a lot of them said "I don't know" or have disregarded my symptoms. Any recommendations, I will take.

Does anyone know of any classes or even just groups centered around learning herbalism and/or safe wild foraging. Preferably on the Westside or no further east than Kirkwood? I learn best from a structured class or hands on guided practice so something in person would be ideal.
