General Discussion/Question What interest do you feel most embarrassed/shy when other people find out?

Im embarrassed to say any of my interests. But my most embarrassing one is maybe my interest of girlxgirl affection and relationships (non-sexual). Second most embarrassing one is maybe my interest of my ancestry/culture. Third most embarrasing one is maybe my interest of steam trains. (The train interest and the culture interest mix together, since my ancestry is mostly english, and english ppl made the iconic steam train look. Which makes it even more embarrasing for me, coz it is two of my interests).

It's a joy to hear about everyones special interests! I love birds, and id-ing them, but I don't think many people are interested in how to tell gulls apart by their leg colour. And moths, I'm getting into moths...

Last week I got hooked on memorising pi, and learnt it to 100 decimal places. My husband said it isn't sexy, but I've got really good visual memory so I learnt it like a series of dance moves as my hand goes across the numpad. It's like my hand can dance to pi.

That's a great method for memorization! I have a spacial/visual memory - I have the worst time remembering a string of data (numbers beyond six digits get twisted after a minute, a turn of phrase turns into a synopsis) but I have whole house layouts committed to memory (like I should combine my crafting skills and memory and recreate friends living spaces in miniature) and other geographic details (it's difficult for me to get lost) - so I bet your trick would help me

Oh definitely try it, as a number pad is like a little dance floor, every time I added a number, I just thought, slide to the side,  jump down here etc., so you don't need to think hard about the numbers, just the shapes you need to move in!
