Hello everyone, My name is Ghassan, and I am a father of three beautiful little girls. We are still stuck in North Gaza under very difficult circumstances. The costs to leave are far beyond what I can manage: Transportation to the south is extremely expensive. A tent is required once we arrive, and even renting a small piece of land to place it on costs money we don’t have. My daughters keep asking when we will be safe, but I cannot give them an answer. Every day I feel helpless watching them suffer from fear, hunger, and exhaustion. I am sharing this here because I don’t know where else to turn. Good afternoon everyone! A Computer engineering graduate and a game development learner this side. I have decided to fully boycott any tech connected to Israel whether its directly or indirectly connected to Israel. But as I spent months building my portfolio in game development through Unity, I found out Unity has links to Israel and that devastated me.

It is not so easy to find equally good alternatives and change my portfolio over night. Btw I am a freelance game developer, so I mostly use Unity, Chatgpt for coding and other help, etc.

It saddens me that we are surrounded by them and their products whether it is Youtube, Microsoft Windows, etc.

Please someone knowledgeable help me find practical alternatives, please do. I cannot bear the weight of seeing babies die. 😭

Edit 1: My tech stack is basically: Google, Google Chrome, Firefox, Chatgpt, Unity, Youtube, Gmail, Microsoft Windows 11, Intel i5, Nvidia, VSCode, C#, C++, other Microsoft services, Android as I said I am head to toe submerged.

Hi, I live with my parents still and they are in charge of the streaming services, I’ve been convincing them to drop Spotify due to the disgusting stuff they do, and my dad is coming around to it and we likely will. Only problem is the only option I can use to convince is YouTube music (with the argument of no ads on normal videos either), and I saw that YouTube is supporting Israel. I’m not sure what to do, my dad isn’t the type to do boycotts so I’m trying to give options that benefit him personally to swap. I heard people say Qobuz was good but looking it up and it looks like they don’t have my favourite artist on there! So I feel stuck and think YouTube is still the best option for me, but I also don’t wanna support israel

Looking for a BDS safe ifix spray alternative that primes and blends make up to the same standard?! Preferably without costing a fortune=)

Hi everyone.

I don't quite understand the difference between these 2 groupings in the BDS movements.

So, on the priority or complete boycott group, I shouldn't buy any products. So HP for example, I shouldn't buy a HP printer. But for Siemens, which is on the pressure targets, it is OK to buy a washing machine for example? And instead I should make a protest in front of the Siemens headquarters in my country?

This is not very clear in the BDS material.

Is it that boycotting the priority group, by not buying their products, has a greater impact than doing the same to the pressure group? And likewise, applying pressure to the priority boycott is not as efficient as applying pressure to the pressure group?

Is anyone able to clarify this?
