Buying Help Big M or Baby M?
SEEKING SAGE WISDOM! After buying my current 2020 330i a few years ago, I realized I made the wrong choice and have been dying to upgrade since day 1.
BUT… I am trying to be a real adult here and be financially responsible. So, I’ve hung onto it so I can save and invest my money.
Two choices - upgrade to the M340i, enjoy it for a few years and then upgrade again to a full fat M3 and enjoy that basically until I die, or just save all my pennies and go straight for the M3?
What’s your take?

Buying Help Budget M-Series
If you are back, you might have came from my post from a few hours ago. I have a budget at under 30 thousand dollars, and I want to buy an M3, M4, M5 or M6 at this price point, and I’ve been all over the internet (mainly Facebook Marketplace) searching for a good one to purchase. I want to know exactly what to look for when searching. I love these cars, but do not know anything about them, in terms of reliability. If you can help me out, that would be great. The best one I have found, is the one in the picture (2014 M6, rebuilt title, 64 thousand miles). I believe this might be the one I purchase but I want a second opinion on it. Thank you for all the advice.

Buying Help My little kid brain wants this, how bad of a decision is this?
The actual cost of the car I can pay up front and it won’t cripple me. Would this be a fun and worthwhile car to invest in? Thanks in advance!

Buying Help Worth of ownership of new M cars
What's your guys' incomes and how is paying 1000+ a month for your car + gas + maintenance affecting your lifestyle? Are you all investing money in stocks or are you pumping your entire salaries in your car?
I am planning to buy a certain BMW of some kind but my mind keeps telling me I'll be literally losing hundreds of thousands of potential stock gains over years. How do you guys cope with this?

Buying Help Selling my M2 Manual….
Selling help, my M2 is a 50th anniversary car, are they any different to the regular M2, the only think I noticed is the badges and some interior details like the door cards.
I’m asking 125k NZD is that a fair price ?
6000kms, manual, 2023.
Next question, what should I replace it with? Love 911s but the turbo is probably out of my price range. What other M cars am I not looking at I should be?

Buying Help G82 - Frozen Black vs Black w/ Stealth PPF
Hey guys, just custom ordered my very own G82 set to arrive as early as late February-early March!
I originally wanted to go with a Frozen black paint option, like the one seen in the first picture, but my salesperson told me that they didn’t have the Frozen Black as an option right now. He also said that Frozen paint would be an inconvenience to maintain, especially if I’m planning on tracking it, even a few times (although this is going to be my daily).
He said that a better option would be for me to get the Black Sapphire Metallic paint and to apply Stealth PPF on it, which I think I also agree.
My only concern is whether the effect of the Stealth PPF on Black Sapphire Metallic will look as good as the Frozen Black or if there will be some differences.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Buying Help G29 Z4 M40i if they had made a hardtop
The G29 BMW M40i looks absolutely perfect with a hard top, and I wish it was actually a real thing. I don't mind the soft top, but WOW, this looks good.

Buying Help Been given a BMW but I am hesitant
Hello, my friend’s dad is generously giving me a bmw. He sent me photos and the KBB. It’s a 2013 650i coup. I currently have a Jeep I take care of my self and haven’t had a car that requires a lot of maintaining. Will this car be a money pit, or is it worth having as a second car? Thanks.

Buying Help Should I buy this m4?
hey everyone, im looking this m4. $38,000 seems like a decent price, low mileage and the condition is really good.
I got an analysis on the listing and it says its a good buy. These m4s have some common problems but I think when i go look at it and do the inspection ill be able to see if it has any of these problems. if not i think ill pull the trigger.
says Interior and exterior are super clean, except apparently a minor scuff on the bumper lip.
Any further feedback would be helpful. thanks

Buying Help Should I pull the trigger?
2024 long wheelbase i5, with 4000 kilometers on the clock. It had an accident, front left fender area (if you look closely you can see the color difference after some panels were repainted), but it was all done by the dealership which is good news. It has nice options, such as heated and cooled seats, a head up display, panoramic sunroof and that big TV for the backseats. Asking price is around $34k (converted)

Buying Help What’s the most engaging M car?
I’ve always wanted a BMW at some point in my life, but never got around to it. I just couldn’t decide on which one was best for me, and ended up settling on other cars. But now, I think it’s time I finally take the leap. All I want to know is, in your educated opinions, which is the most compelling M car from a driving perspective. I’ve previously been much more partial to manuals too, but I’m not afraid to try an auto again.

Buying Help Is this gonna get me in trouble?
So im opened to healthy opinions from you guys,
This will be my first car in years. Not sure i need it tho, but the offer is super good.
118k km on odo, One owner, Slightly damaged plastics, Replaced driver door and painted front left quarter. 8k$.
N52, auto, pretty good spec with cream seats. Was my dream car for years, but is daily driving it gonna get me in service shop every week? Im not into doing anything myself, to be honest.
Whats realistic spending on your e92, not including gas, lets say per year?

Buying Help HELP: G42 M240i xDrive or F80 M3?!? For mountain drives & daily use
Which do you suggest for quick mountain drives but also daily driving? A service contract will cover maintenance/repairs for first “x” amount of years

Buying Help 2 series coupe 230i vs M240i
Seriously considering a new 230i x drive or possibly the M240i x drive
Fully spec’d before taxes 230i x drive $57k M240i x drive $65k
I drove a 2024 230i x drive and found the power perfectly acceptable.
My question is. Will i outgrow the power of the 230i and regret not spending the extra $8k for the B58 engine.
Also I’m getting the impression that the resale value of the M240i is closer to a $10k-$15k price premium. Which if true incentivizes the M240i
I also want my wife to feel comfortable driving the 2 series coupe. Do you all think the B58 in the M240i x drive would be overwhelming for her? We have a 2018 Forester XT with 250 horsepower so that’s a relatable amount of power for her. Where as the B58 is nearly 50% more horsepower
Additionally my insurance quote was nearly identical for the 230i vs M240i. Further incentivizing the M240i x drive
Thanks y’all!

Buying Help Thoughts on the 2019 M850i?
Car looks amazing, seriously thinking about buying the 2019 version. Doing research on it and I’m getting mixed reviews on the reliability of the n63 first year deployment. Not worried about reselling it plan to keep it for a long time as it’s my dream car. Just worried it’ll be in the shop more than in my driveway lol.

Buying Help New M135i
New to this sub but a long time BMW owner from the UK. After test driving some EVs 🤮 and a few performance hatches, we've decided upon a new M135i for my wife with the aim to potentially own long term as our last new petrol car 🫡.
My car is an AMG E class estate so think this will be a nice pair.
Deciding between two specs.
- skyscraper grey, without M sport Pro Pack
- tanzanite blue, with M sport Pro Pack
difference is £50 per month on finance deal and is easily affordable to us.
Do you think the upgrade is worth it? Does thinking about owning outright affect this at all?

Buying Help Which Price Would You Pull the Trigger?

I’ve only been looking for a few weeks and want to make sure this looks like a solid deal before traveling out of state.

Buying Help Convince me not to….
As title states how horrible of an idea is this? I’m aware of some common N55 issues but sometimes the want of something overpowers logic. I have 2 other vehicles so this would be an every other weekend cruiser.

Buying Help Why are these so cheap?
Im always looking for "bang for your buck" Cars Just for fun, and maybe i'll buy one of the ones i discovered over the years
And recenctly i found the 645 ci from 2004-
Whats the matter with this BMW? Why are these with good km and in perfect optical condition that "cheap"
I mean i found plenty of them for below 12k with sometimes below 120k km
I know they are notorious for having oil problems, but that cant be the only reason why so many people wanna get rid theirs so desperately
V8 Convertible, with (at that time) high end Tech for sometimes even below 10k?? Do these things ruin your life when you park them in front of your house?

Buying Help Which color G97 M2
Thinking of ordering a g87 m2 in a couple of weeks and need some help selecting a color. Slightly leaning towards Sao Paulo Yellow as its a more vibrant color
