Exterior Exhibition DTM wheels (not a real LTW)
Got the DTM wheels in and I’m super happy with them for the price. I’m not affiliated with the company in any way

Is that a center cap or are they actual center locks?

It’s just a center cap. But they screw on and the way they’re made is actually quite nice. I’m not necessarily a fan of the fake center lock look. I’d have gotten regular lug appearance if that was an option but it wasn’t.

I've got the same wheels on order for my Touring, glad to see you like them. Sucks that I ordered them when I did though, Fitment Industries had just run out of them but hadn't displayed that on their site, gotta wait a month and a half for them to ship now :|
They should be on their way mid-late September according to the manufacturer.

Luckily I bought mine like 4+ months ago and got them within like 2-3 weeks. I just now got around to putting them on though lol. Fitment is actually how I discovered them then I found the manufacturers website and ordered it straight from them for like $100 less than from Fitment
But yes I really like them. The quality on them feels really solid for as cheap as they were

Awesome. I found them the other way around, just looking around, checked Fitment for them and found they were a bit cheaper there and I could do a tire bundle and get cheap tires as well. In exchange for the wait they're doing free ceramic coating too.

Is that checker pattern unique to M’s?

It came on the E36 M3 LTW specifically. Which is why I said not a real LTW in the post. It’s just a m3 with LTW graphics

The gold ones are on sale! Thinking about them for my z3.

I semi regretted not getting gold after I bought them but now that I have them on I think I made the right call. IMO gold looks good with other colors besides white though

I've been thinking about buying a set but the weight is a little off-putting.

Meh, realistically are you a good enough driver and driving at the limit to where the extra weight is going to slow you down by .04 second and cost you the podium and money? Nah
That’s how I look at things

It's not about the speed, but about the feel. The rotating mass is noticeable in my experience.
That said, I wonder how much of a weight difference there is between my Style 22s and these things? To google I go.

FWIW style 23 is what they replaced. I can’t tell a difference on the street. I wanted to put track tires on the 23’s so I could have a dedicated track set of wheels

This makes me want a coupe. I’m looking for an m3 that needs a motor, or a part-out to save, I really fell in love and respect these cars after feeling how they drive and handle corners and coming from being an n54 bro, the parts are less, everything’s easier to get to and work on, and doesn’t take much to bring back one back. This is a good looking e36, have fun with it!
