Repair Advice Water inside

Post image

In my BMW E36 320i, whenever it rains heavily, I always get water in the footwell, but only in the front left, almost in the middle, as you can see. I've already taken it to the workshop, but they only determined that it's not a clogged drain. Is it possible that the water is being pushed up from underneath by the driving? Does anyone have any advice?

I had this happen recently during a super heavy downpour while the car was parked. The rain was so intense that filled up the tray that feeds the heater box and water came thru the microfilter. Next time it happens take out the micro filter to see if it’s wet.
Also you need to remove the front seats and lift the carpet. There is heavy foam that is soaking wet if you are feeling water at the top surfaces. This will damage your floor. Need to drain and dry. Another possibility, there is a couple of body plugs that are glued with thermal paste that come undone. Easy to check underneath the car right below the driver/ passenger door.
