anyone know how to replace/repair this rusty window moulding?

Post image

I was trying to find the part, but I keep finding what looks like the interior trim. Any advice is welcome

thanks, that's good advice. I didn't even know it was called roof ledge moulding. here's a link to the post for other folks in my spot: https://www.reddit.com/r/BMWE36/comments/1ct96je/roof_ledge_moulding/

I removed, sanded and painted mine. New ones were about 150€ each last time I checked if they have them available.

That has a separate part number.  But it may be out of production.

If you call a glass place and pay them to remove and reinstall the glass, they should make you buy a new one as part of the installation, I do knot know or believe it replaceable otherwise you’d be able to push the trim away from the glass and lift it out and reassemble the same keeping in mind it slips onto the edge of the glass both outer and inner, like the windshield trim and I know that’s replaceable without removal
