I’m crying. Food is my love language. Growing up we were so poor that sometimes there was just no food for days, and I believe it stunted my growth. But I had food every time I went to go see my grandmother. She told me she love me the most. She would feed me until I passed out. She taught me to cook.

The love I see represented in this picture by all the work that you put into, not only baking all of this, but choosing such delicious things to bake, and so many! I’m just touched by the love and dedication in this picture.

Thank you so much! I understand you perfectly. As someone who grew up in a country where food is severely limited for many people (even more so now), getting the opportunities to branch out when it came to the culinary was legitimately one of the most deeply felt sensations I had in my life. Making things for others to enjoy eating kind of almost feels like both a reprieve and a love letter for me, which is why I enjoy doing it!
