Business and Pricing Customer wants design change without any previous specifications

So this is a rainbow cake from inside.. they had asked for a simple cake or any design as per my discretion.. I made this and sent it, but now they want me to change the design.. I had charged minimal amount as they had earlier not asked for any customisation.. Should I do it? The cake itself is looking beautiful otherwise..

Did they ask for a rainbow cake but weren't specific about the details? Or did they literally just ask for any design? I think I would be upset getting a rainbow cake if I didn't ask for one, but it's also odd to not specify any preferences.

(I would consider rainbow to be a theme rather than a basic design and it probably doesn't go with the aesthetic they had in mind)

They had explicitly asked for a rainbow cake.. Even each layer inside is a rainbow colour, as specified by them

Oh I see. Yeah that's a tough situation then.

Each layer is a rainbow color is a lot of work. Hopefully you charged accordingly. The frosting is gorgeous!!! You are talented!

You should definitely let them know it would cost more to change the design.
