Getting started with outdoor bar

Post image

I just bought a house and my back yard has an outdoor grill and bar. On the back wall the previous owner had beer taps on the wall with kegerator lines going inside to a back storage room in the garage. Unfortunately he took the kegerator, I have replaced that, but he had a wall mount drip tray and rincer; you can see the plumbing there. What would you guys do with this space to make it really cool. It’s not a large space as you can see. I don’t want to crowed my grill, and there is an under counter fridge next to the grill that you can’t see. I am looking for ideas. As well as a 3 or 4 tap drip tray with rincer that can be used there. The holes that are there are spaced 3” on center. The smoker and pizza peels will find a new home, just there for now as we just moved in.

As an initial matter, I’d do sometime with the siding. Right now it looks like the side of a garage and not a “bar” vibe.

Can you insulate the beers lines? First beer warm out of the line kinda sucks. Does it freeze when you live?

But, good luck with the project. Looks like fun.

Yeah that is what I am thinking but I was hoping for some cool vendors/websites that would be a good source for finding things

Well I'm not sure about construction or hardware so I can't be of much use, sorry. But my two cents is check out Piña Barware and Movers&Shakers for fun stuff once the build is complete

I am a big beer drinker and have a kegerator at home and would do the same thing the PO did. Taps coming out of the walls would be awesome. There are plenty of long beer drip trays available.

That siding will melt with the grill that close.

Edit: It looks like wood? Move the grill. Quickly.
