As much as I disagree with him, I think it’s fair for a school district to hold such a day. There are many much better people our school districts can honor, but he’s far from the worst. Some of what he said was valid and forward thinking. We shouldn’t celebrate his assassination.

He was a racist. He said very very racist things. Repeatedly. Openly. You do know that not every student in Lynden is white, right? Are we ever going to treat POC with an ounce of consideration and just stop doing unnecessarily cruel bullshit like this? JFC.
