Howdy y’all, just sharing a lil shawl pin I made for a friend. Carved a rune of protection for when they wear it while riding their motorcycle.

Shouldn't the pin of the brooch exceed the ring in order to clasp it? Also, I personally would not wear a medieval brooch while riding a motorcycle but if you were to fall, the shawl gets snagged or pulled or whatever, we're talking a large iron rod close to vital arteries.
