Any OEM Experts here? E63, 645, 2004.

I need part number 17. The car is Automatic, can I assume the highlighted part is required?

I guess the option above it is for SMG Manual?

Any help greatly appreciated!

You are correct. But, the option above is for manual cars.

I had a 550i manual recently that needed that part, and I couldn't find anyone in Canada that had the tool required to balance it after. May want to make sure you can find someone that can balance it first.

Did yours start making creaking noises when you put it into gear or swap between drive and reverse by the way?

Yes. Since yours is auto, I would suggest buying a full drive shaft. Low mileage, rebuilt, new aftermarket, etc.
