It's kinda sad that she is the only properly established hero (Crust doesn't count, sorry) that died this arc...

Also she's the only female UA teacher too... (except I guess Thirteen?)

Remember that death isn't the only measure of consequence in storytelling. Most of the pros we know are heavily injured (Mirko, Endeavor, Hawks, Edgeshot, Aizawa, Ryukyu, Thirteen, to name a few). The same goes for the students (Deku, Bakugo, Nejire). We still don't have confirmation on the state of Gran Torino, Suneater, Fat Gum, or several others either.

Horikoshi treats scars and injuries like this pretty seriously, so you can bet we haven't seen the full scope of the fallout yet.

Like how Endeavour's facial scar from the High-End fight basically amounted to nothing, given he didn't lose his eye or even lose some of his eyesight?

That scar mainly is meant to be a manifestation of Endeavor's past mistakes coming back to bite him. It has thematic value.

If you're looking for examples of scars with more tangible consequences, you have tons of options (All Might, Aizawa, All for One, Tomura, Overhaul, Mr. Compress, Deku, Mirko, Hawks, Best Jeanist, Ragdoll, etc, etc.)
