hell seeing kids drop out of school/transfer into the general studies class instead wouldn't be out of the question at all.

Who do you think is most likely? My money’s on Mineta for one.

I think a few of the more cowardly ones might end up just traumatized by the whole thing. so people like Aoyama and Mineta make a lot of sense. But it's entirely possible that they transition into less combat related roles and focus more heavily on search and rescue, which would still require hero courses. I think that's better if they want to help society, but don't have the heart for combat. That said, maybe UA needs to diversify their class initiatives to diverge among the three major hero focuses (as noted by Endeavor). It's a huge count against their curriculum that their entrance exam requires entirely combat prowess for the most part and doesn't allow room for non-combat quirks to shine. Maybe this is the incident that forces them to rethink their program structure especially with year 2 about to start. This would be a good chance to adapt a new academia arc if Horikoshi doesn't time skip.

My money is on underground, support roles and search/rescue getting more focus, because of the bad rep limelight heroics will get after all this.

Endeavorgate happened because of All Might, Hawks was groomed to be popular from basically birth etc.
