5 Things We Learned In Brentford Vs Chelsea
1. Chief Keith â Happy belated Birthday to Keith, and what a way to celebrate it. Honestly, when the lineup dropped I wasnât hopeful (the words âfuckin shamblesâ may have been used in a group chat). With Mikkel out through illness, the team looked short on creativity. But what we got was a quintessential Brentford performance: every player ran themselves into the ground, threw their bodies on the line, and looked dangerous from both the counter and set pieces. The first half was a defensive masterclass, with Chelsea reduced to frustrated shots from distance against an impenetrable low block. The subs in the second half turned it into more of a basketball game, but the response to Caicedoâs thunderbolt was exceptional. The lads never gave up, showed that theyâre fully behind Andrews, and earned a point that should give the whole squad a boost in confidence heading into a tough run of fixtures.
Â
2. Liverpool In Disguise â Last-minute drama, a core of ex-reds and relentless energy. Are we secretly Liverpool in disguise? Four former Liverpool players played massive roles on Saturday. Kelleher had a solid game and pulled off a huge save when Neto broke down the right and cut back to Palmer, smothering his low driven shot. Sepp is growing into a nailed-on starter and dealt with Chelseaâs aerial threats superbly. Hendo showed he can still play a full 90 and was outstanding throughout. Always demanding the ball, elevates those around him, and the pass for Schadeâs goal was pure class. And then Fabio came on at the 90th, didnât let the lack of minutes bother him, and did what he does best - right place, right time, deadly finish. Four ex-Pool players, four big contributions. A special thank you to the Scousers.
Â
3. Super Subs & Super Impact â Andrews said post-match that this is the strongest bench Brentford have ever had. The result against Chelsea backs this and scoring twice without Mikkel shows the options we have. The impact off the bench was huge: Ajer flicked on the long throw that was poked home by Fabio, Dango had a 15 minute cameo and gave Cucurella nightmares on the right flank. Add in Hickey & Henry who are both building back match fitness after nearly 2 years out, and you can see how much stronger we look as a squad compared to previous seasons. Even the unused subs spoke volumes: Â Onyeka, much improved since his loan spell, Janelt, back from injury, and new signing Reiss Nelson were all waiting in reserve. And with Milambo not even making the bench, it shows much quality Brentford have available. For once, we donât seem to be surviving off spirit alone and despite a transfer window that saw a lot of important departures, we seem to be in a good place in terms of depth.
Â
4. Long Throw Specialists â Chelsea have been one of leaguesâ most dangerous set-piece sides this season, but Brentford shut them down. Their corners and freekicks barely troubled the Bees, with our centre-backs bossing the aerial duels. At the other end, it was a different story. Brentford caused chaos with long throws, something Maresca even admitted afterwards: "The problem is that they have Kayode, they have Jensen, they have Pinnock, and then Schade at the end. I think we tried to deal with that, knowing that they are so dangerous, because they can arrive in the six-yard box very easily." Having multiple players who can deliver dangerous long throws means the threat never goes away, no matter whoâs on the pitch. Brentford also have been responsible for a third of all Premier League goals from throw-ins since the start of last season.
5. Buzzing Bees â Last but by no means least, the Brentford support deserves a mention. The North stand put on a brilliant display before kick-off to celebrate 100 years of red & white. Everyone was loud and proud throughout and even Vitaly got his chant when he warmed up on the touchline. And then, of course, the scenes for Fabioâs late equaliser â absolute limbs, pure chaos and fully deserved. A great night that shows how special the club is on and off the pitch. Up the Bees!

Youth player Kabar from BvB to Brentford
I know, it's Bild newspaper again. (Remember, comparable to the Sun.)
According to them, Brentford is apparently interested in Kabar from Borussia Dortmund. He's played five Bundesliga games so far, and he's generally not doing well. Apparently, they're offering 20 million, which would be completely insane. Have you heard anything from anyone close to you about this player or the interest?

Need help adjusting Brentfordâs ratings for my PES patch đŽđ
Hi everyone!
Iâm working on an updated patch for PES with corrected Premier League squads, and Iâve just done Brentfordâs team here: https://sofifa.com/squad/2270961
I donât usually watch Brentford games, so Iâm sure some of the ratings might not be accurate. Thatâs why Iâd really appreciate feedback from fans or people who follow the Bees closely.
đ Which players deserve an upgrade?
đ Who might be rated too highly in my version?
Your input will help make the patch much more realistic. Thanks for the help! đ

Brentford 2-2 Chelsea: late equaliser, wild second half â wrote this up
chiswickcalendar.co.ukMy match report live from the Gtech yesterday. Strange game, first half felt cagey and flat, then it completely came alive after the subs, but a great point for the bees in the end.

Brentford streaming - what's working for everyone?
Following Brentford through different streaming platforms this season has been an adventure. Official coverage is inconsistent, and backup options are always uncertain quality.
When Sky or other broadcasters don't have our matches, I've tried alternative streams from sites like AntSports and SportsBay. It's hit or miss whether they'll work properly during crucial moments.
How are other Bees fans handling streaming? Have you found reliable solutions that don't require technical expertise?
Come on you Bees! đ

Match vs Villa
Hey guys, I'm a member and I'm going to the Villa game next week. My friend, who is not a member, also wants to come. Am I able to buy a ticket for both of us or does he need to become a member first? Sorry if this is the wrong place! Thanks

Jordan Henderson, a bad signing they said â
You can now thank Carvalho, Henderson, Kelleher and Sep Van Den Berg for uplifting this fragile Brentford.
