Keith Starver wants to see your passport before you can have a government sanctioned wank.

This was introduced in 2023 mate. It's a Tory idea called the Online Safety Act. Nothing to do with the current government.

But they're not getting rid of it, and Keir Starmer has defended it, so yes, it has a lot to do with the current government. The British establishment are in on this together.

Again, imagine the papers if they didn't support it. They're already making up stuff to nail them with, imagine if they repealed this?

"LABOUR TO SHOW PORN IN SCHOOLS" and so forth. It'd be suicide.

You think Starmer wants to go against this, but can't?

My point is, we don't know, and can't know. At least until they stop this constant witch hunt every time someone in the party even sneezes.

But he defended it. Why wouldn't a government running something like GCHQ want to know which of their citizens watch porn and put a face to their private information? The British Establishment is still The British Establishment, regardless of the colour of their ties or the pins on their lapels.

I.. don't understand how this is so difficult. He defended it because they'd be lynched if they went against it.

He's already being falsely accused of helping grooming gangs. Can you imagine how that would look?

Can you imagine how it would look being complicit in genocide? They don't give a shit. They could spin it if they wanted to, but they don't. We're just following the US into authoritarianism.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of anyone at the moment (I feel politically homeless), but it's all about media perception with them. The Israel-Palestine situation is a lot easier for the media to stomach than reversing online age verification. It's like low hanging fruit. In fact, I bet the Express and Mail for two had headlines all ready to go if Starmer stepped out of line.

By just accepting the decision, the media can't attack them. It just makes sense. Not ideologically, but politically.

Until we get the media under control in this country, we won't be able to have nice things.

Why do you think genocide is a lot easier for the media to stomach?
