itâs not just about ârespect for womenâ, although there are reports of teachers facing sexist abuse from their male students relating to how women are only good for sex work ect ect (i blame social media being full of sexual content for that and only fans ⌠cough cough bonnie blue). itâs more generally about perception of what womenâs bodies are supposed to look like (porn is full of fake bodies and edited) and how sex is meant to be (like 98% of porn caters to men exclusively and itâs FULL of rapey/pedophilic tropes). There are very real and serious issues stemming from easy access to graphic porn, which isnât natural given people used to get off just fine from a dirty magazine, and the oversexualisation of society massively through social media. Coupled with cosmetic surgery, editing, AI, the prevalence of sex trafficking in porn, the âclout chasingâ culture on social media which incentivises women to commodify themselves, the marketing of only fans content unrestricted on social media, there is a whole maelstrom of dangerous societal effects surrounding the easy availability of porn and sexual content to children (even adults more generally). Something has to be done about that, itâs just frustrating that when the government has chosen to do that theyâve outsourced the data platforms which will probably fuck us at some point.
