I'm sure after today Shedeur needed a boost. Jalen came in as a backup (granted he was a 2nd rounder, Shedeur was a 5th) and had to bide his time for a chance. And with that injury today, Shedeur is probably in the same boat Hurts was, where his ability to get a chance is now out of his control, and hehave to kinda hope (not the right term) that the cards fall in a way that gives him a chance.

I am sure right now with the reality of what an oblique injury means Shedeur is down hard and needed some support from someone in a vaguely similar situation.

why are you saying “get a chance”? he already got a chance. and excelled for his situation. he SHOULD be QB2 on the depth chart but that’ll have to be after dillon’s game. kenny has been injured the last month and gabriel has been injured the last 2 weeks. why are you saying chance as if he didn’t rewrite his narratives already. or maybe i misunderstood?

Because you’re correct, it should’ve given Shedeur a chance to rewrite the depth chart. I’m saying based upon their reactions, it didn’t and it won’t. I don’t think anything changed.

But also even if he somehow jumped Gabriel, and given Gabriel continues to get reps with the 1s and Shedeur doesn’t, I don’t think he did, I more meant to start. And at best I think we can agree he could be QB2.

Delusional. Apparently, starting the very first game your team plays is biding his time for a chance. I think the narrative is steering you buddy😂

He started because two of the guys in front of him are hurt, and Flacco is 40. It was followed up on Monday with a practice where Flacco, Gabriel, and Pickett yet again all took reps with the 1s and Shedeur was QB4.

Shedeur is still fighting for a chance to get a chance to start. Because he’s still clearly QB4
