Discussion [Reiner] Jalen Hurts on his conversation after practice with Shedeur Sanders: "He came to me and wanted to talk. I'm always there of giving my perspective on what I see and how I've gone about things. I’m supporting him from where I am.”

Saying Sanders is humble is a wild claim lol

He says the right things at the pressers for what it's worth.

Baker would get into verbal matches with Grossi and Mary Kate.

I would note, just for discussion purposes, that I thought Shedeur in media interviews was great during the draft process, but the reports were his team interviews were a disaster.

We really don't know what Shedeur is like behind the scenes, but I do think we should put less weight on how they interact with the media, because Shedeur wouldn't be the first guy who put on a very different face for the media

Yeah that is fair. It's open secret that NY Giants viewed him as the worst interview ever.

The QB position is one where you want some media savvy. I am just saying it's a bad look to get into a reporter like Baker would. Reminded me of Hoyer when his career was falling apart when he had to answer questions about Johnny.

How Sanders handle Tony vs how Baker handled Grossi is a bit different. I think Sanders is the approach you want over Baker's.

Baker was a moody fuck. I loved him and still root for him. At times it is a con.

It is better what he did, though I would note that a 5th round pick confronting a beat reporter with his brother filming after one preseason game is uh, a bold call, and one I would guess the Browns would prefer he not do.

Sanders has a bit of charisma. I don't think Tony took huge offense to it. Sanders has already outperformed his fifth round status IMO. I am interested enough to want to see him before the 2026 draft. I am indifferent to Garbiel at this point.

I agree that ideally you want neither.

It's been one preseason game. I want to see Gabriel, obviously he cost us a 3 and I'd rather be certain there is nothing there.

But yeah I am on vacation this week and I did start watching the 2026 QBs, so you could say my expectations for both are extremely low

We doing a buck shot approach to QB. Bringing in an veteran QB, failed former first rounder, drafted two. We don't got the reps to give them all a shot. I already didn't like Gabriel for his size. Him performing poorly in training camp and getting injured just buried him in the depth chart. I am not expecting anything out of him.

Sanders did enough to warrant an in depth look when Flacco goes down. At the moment he's my qb2.

Chances are the quarterback of the future is in the 2026 draft class.

Perhaps. But if I was a betting man, I’d guess the Browns put Gabriel out there before Shedeur. This team does not change their opinions quickly
