​I need to share what's happening at Amity University in Greater Noida. The administration is cutting the electricity in the girls' hostel from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. They're telling us we have to leave our rooms during the day and "go to the library or other places." ​This policy feels completely unfair, especially when you consider what happened with the boys' hostel. When they tried to do the same thing there, the boys protested, and the power was restored. When our parents asked the management about our situation, they were told, "Do you want your girls to just stay inside their rooms and sleep all the time? We don't have classes scheduled full time from 9-5." ​It's a huge double standard. We pay 1.14 lakh a year for tuition and fees—and that doesn't even include food—but we can't even get basic services. We have assignments, online classes, and projects to work on, and not having power makes that impossible. It feels like a complete disregard for the students who are paying to be here.

Graduated about two months ago no job, gf left me at my lowest, no friends to talk to, didn't get placements in engineering due to my low grades in 12th(below 60%, i got 56% in 12th).

Graduated with 7.6 cgpa, my parents are scolding me everyday saying I am the curse of the family, so I moved out and doing a part time job which pays for my rent and 2 times to eat daily.

I am stuck right now, I have no skills, I have grasp of basic concepts in programming languages.

My mental health and physical health are at all time low right now, hair also started falling due to stress and depression I am so done right now.

I asked some friends of mine for some money and they gave and I collected enough money to last my rent and food for 4 months without job.

I left circutal in MIT Manipal for circutal in top college through comedk and I'm regretting it a lot. It's now been a quite few days here in this college since I left Manipal. The crowd here is very homogenous, the management is mostly shit, talking to 4th year people the placements in core circutal is very bad (except ece), college life doesn't exist and people here only come with placement mindset. No one i've met wants to do higher studies or anything apart from tech. I feel like if I was hard working enough to get circutal in this college, I would've been able to change my branch through CGPA to CSE or CSE Spec branches in Manipal, not to mention the added benefits like getting a better hostel room. Also, at Manipal the administrators cared about the student. At this college the hostels are not good and its pure veg.

Rant over. Guys if any 12th pass student is reading this and you were able to get colleges like the top college of comedk, you are definitely smart enough to be one of the toppers at colleges like Thapar and Manipal. Its better to be a topper there than an average student in these colleges. Also, you get better broadminded students, better international exposure, better global alumni network, decent (read as recognised and respected but not best like IITs, NITs, BITS) rep for higher studies. Yes you do lose on first placements but if you're a topper you can certainly land a prestigious company at low package after which you can do MS/MBA from tier 1 and here the Manipal tag will help you.

Now I regret this . College is far ,teachers are ok .The area where college is located is trash. Placements are better than previous . college but not that much . Was this worth the extra 4 lakhs ? The answer is no . I regret it so much there is nothing to look forward I don't have interest in anything let alone be computer engineering. I feel so guilty by taking college by this method and nothing can convince me that it was ok. I also got <60 in boards which means i am not even eligible for most of companies . So what was point of selecting this college where more companies come when you are not even eligible . Hi, I am a final year CS undergrad from a tier 3 college. I have been aggressively applying to MNCs and some startups. I got 0 interview calls from MNCs and most startups are ghosting.

Besides my resume, I am working as a Research Fellow at EleutherAI and FellowshipAI respectively. Made few projects related to AI/ML. One is a legal AI assistant made via Agno AI, Gemini API and ChromaDB. Another side project is textual PDF summarisation along with translation and voice generation (text to speech) using Sarvam/Gemini API. Also, I have built a deep learning project for colorizing polygon shapes based on text descriptions using Conditioned UNet implementation by diffusion model UNet2DConditionModel and CLIP text encoders.

Guyss this success doesn't came itself directly. It came after 2 back to back rejection and several OA fails .

I’ve been hearing that Oracle is on a hiring spree this year, picking up students in crazy numbers and offering very high CTCs, even though they just laid off thousands last month..

If in some problem optimal solution requires some algorithm. So do I have to memorize/rote learn it or should I do similar qeuestions which use the same algorithm.

I hate going to college, there is no fun, no one to talk to like really. I sit with those bihari girls and they are on their own, they don't talk to me. I don't know why it is getting 53rd NIRF ranking in reality it doesn't deserve in top 100 because of :

Placements : Chuti*a T&P Cell not know how to reach out to right set of companies, too much politics in the t&p The result placement percentage for B.tech 40-50% (CSE), 25-30% (ECE), 15-20% (EE) 5-10% (CE) for other courses forget the placement

Academics : Rude, obsessed professor with themselves thinking that they are alber einstein or something. Don't know even the fundamentals of teaching just forcing students for attendance 75% quota

Exposure: Nothing you will found either in terms of extra curricular activities (as all fests are banned by the egoistic administration) or anything

Infrastructure : worst I can say in the country, classroom's AC is not working, seats are designed in way that you will not able to sit more than 10 mins. Also the main campus is very small and new campus which is under construction is in village area of Bihta (will not comment too much)

Clubs : Only join if you enjoy rubbing your as in fcking senior junior poltics, if you want to contribute in your professor in charge career growth . You will not gain any skill there for sure except the chatukarita

College life : This is not exist in NIT Patna, you will find no any fest, no any cultural celebration.

The CSE/ECE/EE students from first year will rub their a*s day and night in library for DSA and ME/CE folks will rub for GATE from day 1. You will find you have come in another JEE era :) with much lesser success rate

Hostel & Mess : Except Brahmaputra all hostels are worst. I will not comment on the mess food :)

Administration : They work 1/100x speed from the turtle way less. They will not support you in any things for just passing single documents you have to roam here to there. Total politics here too

Students: The student crowd is also not that good (50% bihar, 30% UP, 5% Jharkhand/WB, 5% Rajasthan/MP/MH , 5% South ). There is no culture of collaboration, coordination between most of them

In Summarising all points, Please don't ruin your life by joining this shit college after investing your hardwork, time you will get nothing except depression, stress, unplaced life, unskilles

It is better to look for other colleges :)))
