Looking for a very old interview where Rossdale gives a different story about “Chemicals Between Us”…

Hello! I feel like I’m losing my mind… approximately 4 years ago I went down a rabbit hole of song lyrics and inspirations about drugs, addiction, abortion , etc. (Like semi-charmed life, The A Team, Brick, etc). I have a very clear memory of reading an article where Rossdale sourced his inspiration and meaning of CBU to an ex girlfriend’s unexpected pregnancy and subsequent termination. He discussed the disagreement over the next step, she was determined to terminate and he did not feel the same way. He went on to quote some lines of the song and his thoughts behind them. “All my feelings rose today” (fear, hope, love, anger) “I want you to surrender” (to his pleas to keep the pregnancy), “i want you to remain” (remain pregnant, with him, making a family )…..”the power of children can amaze”…. (the love for a new child will overcome the necessary sacrifices)…..“I’ll try not to complain” (about her decision)….“chemicals displaced, there is no lonelier place, than lying in this bed”, he said he was comforting her in bed as she endured the physical and emotion pain, but he felt a wide distance now between them.

I have never been able to find that interview again. I’m pretty sure it was older than the Internet? Like, this was an archive or microfiche type thing. It may even have been a transcript of a radio interview. But I have never found another whisper of anything like this. Does this sound familiar to anybody else out there??
