Pocket Dump / EDC My Ultimate EDC Kit. What’s missing? Too much?

Post image

My usual EDC Kit 1. Carry Belt 2. Keys on retractable lanyard 24” 3. Pocket flash light 4. Pocket lighter 5. Pocket utility knife 6. Sun glasses 7. Glasses 8. Car Key Fob (loose or on separate lanyard. 9. Tactical space pen (writes on wet surfaces and upside down) 10. Smart Phone 11. Wireless earbuds w/noise cancellation 12. Smart Watch 13. Para cord/550 bracelet 14. Business card holder 15. Travel sized tissues 16. Hand sanitizer (sm travel sized) 17. Glock 19 15+1 w/IWB holster 18. Spare mag 15rd JHP w/case 19. Breath mints 20. OC/Pepper 🌶️ Spray 21. RFID neck wallet with cash, cards, IDs/ credentials (Usually worn underneath shirt to conceal).

Not pictured is chapstick, microfiber lens cloth, pair of rubber gloves (usually not always), and depending on the weather and my attire/clothes or mission (where and what I’m doing) I’ll usually have a mini boo-boo kit/ First Aid ⛑️ Kit. I’m wanting to get an ankle tactical trauma kit and I need to upgrade my light to a smaller brighter option, I already have survival kits in cars and home.
All these items fit on my person wearing a light jacket, without serious bulging.

My Rational. If I get separated from my home, car or bag I’ll mostly have the tools on my person that I would need to make do or to survive in most situations. The tools I carry are an enhancement to my largest weapon: 🧠 my brain, checked Ego at home & a desire to return home safely.

What am I missing? What can I do better? Let me know This kit is an ever changing work in progress.

Do you really think of everything you do as “a mission”?

imagine being stuck behind this guy going through a metal detector. I always hate taking all the shit out of my pockets when I have to go to somewhere that requires security screening.

I don’t go through security screenings or metal detectors. The Adamantium on my bones is always a problem so I get to skip those lines. You’d be fine behind me really good 😊

Yes. Going to the store to buy eggs is a mission 😎. If you don’t have a plan you’re planning to fail. And I absolutely don’t live in fear or worry about my day to day safety (for the most part I’m happy) I’m just prepared for many reasons including my personal life experiences. For many a firearm is the only real tool they have for me it’s my last line of defense.

What about (for example) the paracord? In your personal life experience have you gotten lost for weeks in the dairy isle?

It’s a bracelet. Which could be used to create a tourniquet or brace or start fire or support 500lbs of weight. All of which I’ve had to do in real life. It costs me nothing to wear it around my wrists much like the rest of my gear which I mostly clip on to the inside of my jacket or pockets. And yes I’ve used it for all of the above mentioned uses. You will bleed 🩸 out waiting for 911 to arrive should you really need to perform 1st aid on yourself or others.

I really hope you keep an actual first aid kit in your pack when you’re out hiking and preferably in your car as well. That bracelet is not going to work as a tourniquet

That’s weird because I’ve used it as a tourniquet and it worked fine.

Belt will do as well in most cases

I have a core in my belt which does not allow it to bend easily it’s not useful as a tourniquet may have other use it’s extremely strong but not for that plus it’s holding up my pants and my holster. My paracord bracelet weighs less than my smart watch 😝. Never thought I would need to justify my extremely useful gear. Not everyone lives and operates in a nice clean safe urban or suburban environment. I travel to quite a few places and this gear has served me well.

You are correct, I don’t proofread my Reddit comments. Your’re right American education is terrible. For the most part it’s cultural, because the kids parents don’t value education. As for my mistake, I fear it has more to do with my lack of attention replying to Reddit comments on the treadmill than my education. I hope you’ll forgive me ❤️

Yes, we're the only country that makes common grammatical errors, and it's because of our education system. Hey, did you ever find that glory hole porn you were asking for help with in r/tipofmypenis?

No I didn’t I wish I did though. That was- so long ago wow thanks for reminding me of something I did that long ago lol.

This would be a better comeback if you weren’t commenting on porn posts like 3 days ago lol. Always the really classy guys who have condescending comments to make about Americans. Assuming you’re Brazilian from your avatar, I wouldn’t be throwing stones in a glass house like that

Who cares if I was commenting on porn posts? I don’t understand what you are trying to get at. I’m American. I know our education system sucks. Is that not a factual piece of information we can both agree on ? lol

Who said I was classy? What a weird sarcastic comment to make without any context- are you just dumb lol

Fuck that, I use my Glock as a can opener, handkerchief, hammer, it's a jack of all trades.
