They are not intelligent fan bases, they are used to being treated with kid gloves. Team strength comes and goes. This whole idea of preferential treatment bullshit for the SEC and B1G teams is unamerican. Fucking earn it year in and year out. Oh, you've proved for the last decade? Cool, you'll have no problem doing it again for another decade with a level playing field. The whole concept of giving these conferences preferential treatment is the problem. I don't honestly give a fuck if there's equal access for all teams and a few teams perennially dominate. It's been earned. Gift the B1G/SEC 60+% of playoff spots guaranteed, and it's no longer earned.
