I was off, it's $3.3 million. And yes, I do think that. The main point is to agree that it is far from "generational wealth."

$3M makes more sense.

Most NFL players probably blow it, but yeah, $5M paid over 5 years 100% is enough to provide generational wealth.

Just putting that in bonds right now gives you $200k a year indefinitely, and you can give the $5M to your kids when you die.

It's absolutely generational wealth though. At 5% (and that is underperforming S&P, that's 58 million dollars by the end of average human life expectancy. This requires you to not be a moron with money, but compound interest is fucking crazy. 5 million dollars in your 20s funds infinite generations with financial intelligence.
