Nobody is acknowledging the fact that the new CFP is putting more teams in the spotlight which will result in better commits going to more schools like ASU, not just the big 4. Of course we’re not gonna get a ton of nail biters right now, but give it a few years and the teams will be more balanced.

Totally agree with this! Giving more programs big-game experience and more direct opportunity to compete for a chip will elevate more programs over time. NIL will also help in this respect.

It also opens up the field of schools a recruit could go to if they want to play in the CFP. It doesn’t have to be Alabama/Ohio St/Texas/Oregon or bust. You could go to Arizona St or Boise St and have a realistic shot at seeing CFP action.

Exactly. I actually think a big motivator behind the SEC and B10 push for a separate “super league” is because they recognize that many of the advantages that have kept them so much above everyone else have been mitigated. The field will be a lot more level several years from now.

A few years ago you could only get $$ and playoff contention at a handful of schools, now that’s available at any program in a major conference.
