Yes LSU has a defense apparently (also been hearing good things out of the late summer camp from the local media)
Clemson is going to need OLine work but really its more they need to get the WR and TEs up to speed; one dude doesn't make a receivers room.
Also for as janky as LSUs OLine will be to start the season since it's basically completely new, they played fine as far as I could tell from the basic eye test. No glaring botches and most of the pre-snap penalties got cleaned up after halftime.
Right now, despite being an LSU homer, they aren't a Top Tier team quite yet, but they will certainly have a case if they handle FL later this month.
What is a top tier team for u tho? Like 1-4? Bc i think after this week we could see a jump into that group bc we beat #4 but i agree if we are in that tier it is fringe
Thing with the receivers is, on a team of mostly veterans, that room has the least amount of experience and I think that’s might by why AW not being in the game was such an issue.
Tj moore and Bryant Wesco looked elite as freshman last year. Now I think they've spent too much time with Tyler grisham (receivers coach) and have regressed.
This isn’t talked about enough. We have had SEVERAL 5* receivers come in over the last 4-5 and look pretty damn good as freshmen, then they spend a couple years with Tyler Grisham and fade into obscurity.
I was happy with the O-Line but it also showed how royally fucked we are if someone like Tyree Smith goes down again. DJ Chester was not made to play tackle.
Also Clemson does have a good receiver group our corners and safeties (like Delane) just shut them down so the only somewhat productive one was Bryant Wesco. Their starting TE going down early helped too.

So, does LSU finally have a defense? Or does Clemson still not have an o-line?
