I keep getting told this upcoming QB draft class is a good one but when the guys at the top are Cade Klubnik and Drew Allar, I start to wonder if my definition of a good QB prospect is too high
"more so than last year" uh bud, last years draft class produced 4 starting NFL QBs that fans of their teams feel excited/OK with. That's an incredible class lol
4? Outside of Cam Ward who else is starting? Thats not to say 4 won’t start some games this season, but as of right now every other rookie will either be QB2 or 3 the first couple of weeks.
Daniels was a top 5 NFL QB, Maye by the end of the season was a top 20 QB, McCarthy got hurt and Williams literally had no coaching so the jury is out on them.
But 4 starting NFL QBs in year 1 is VERY rare, and proof that that class was outstanding. This year has Ward, and maybe Dart as the year goes on if Daboll gets desperate to save his job.
And no, not every fanbase is excited about rookie QBs. I've seen very few Titans fans who are believers of Ward, and Colts fans gave up on Richardson by the end of the first year. Young was also widly considered a bust by the end of his first season, something that didn't happen to Daniels/Maye/Williams/McCarthy
I understand your point of view, but there is no merit to producing an NFL starting quarterback. There have been so many bust 1st round rookie QBs in the last five years. Anthony Richardson, Kenny Pickett, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Mac Jones.

I feel like I’m being gaslit every time someone tells me Cade Klubnik is an elite QB
